The Rom-Commers by Katherine Center is $2.99! Center’s books have been positively talked about on the site and this released in summer of 2024. The heroine is a screenwriter who is brought on to rehab the hero’s rom-com script.
Hello Stranger by Katherine Center is $1.99 and a Kindle Daily Deal! We mentioned this one on a previous Hide Your Wallet and I believe early readers of the book had good things to say. The heroine is an artist with face blindness.
The Love Haters by Katherine Center is $2.99! Center’s standalone contemporary romances are often favorably discussed on the site. Do you have a favorite?
Happy Tuesday! A short and sweet release week. Mostly contemporaries on our radar, plus some fantasy romance and a mystery. What new releases are you excited for? Let us know in the comments!
Overall I liked this book, though some parts were much more swoony than others, especially as the tension between them became mostly me, the reader, waiting for one of them to admit their feelings to the other already. While the waiting part wasn’t my favourite, the emotional development and vulnerability between Pet and Matthias was delicious.
Welcome back! We’re quickly approaching the end of the month. There are a couple books with historical settings (romance, fantasy, and horror). Of course, there are also always contemporaries on the list. Which new releases are you excited for? Let us know in the comments!
The Bodyguard by Katherine Center is $2.99! I mentioned this one on a previous Hide Your Wallet and was tempted by the bodyguard heroine. However, it’s still in my to-read stack. Have you read this one?
Happiness for Beginners by Katherine Center is $1.99! Center’s books have been mentioned and recommended on the site before. This is one of her earlier works and apparently has been made into a Netflix adaptation. Have you read or watched this one?
RECOMMENDED: When a Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare is $1.99! If you haven’t read a Dare book before or have missed out on this one, I highly suggest rectifying that problem. Elyse loved this book so much and gave it an A:
Everything about When a Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare worked for me. Everything. Bust out the squee mop, y’all because this review is just going to be a flappy-hands Good Book Noise® mess.
Things this book has:
1. A sexy Scot hero I pictured as Sam Heughan. 2. A heroine who is a naturalist and illustrator. 3. Tons of UST. 4. A completely crazy sauce plot that Dare pulls off flawlessly. 5. A missing lobster.
Happy Tuesday! We have a crop of brand new book releases, from some buzzy titles to self-published and novella length reads. There is lots of variety this week! What books are you excited for? Let us know in the comments!
RECOMMENDED: Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett is $1.99! Apologies if this is a leftover KDD from the weekend. We had a guest squee review of this one:
Chilling, packed with lore, and a slow burn, Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett is the type of book I’ve been looking for. Their adventure from faerie field research to two professors running like hell from a faerie nightmare kept me on the edge of my seat.
