West End Earl by Bethany Bennett is $2.99 and a Kindle Daily Deal! This is book two in the Misfits of Mayfair series and we talked about this one on a previous Cover Awe. That yellow is so lovely. The heroine has disguised herself as a man and the hero is her employer.

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Are we ready for a new release week? The spooky and witchy romances have entered the chat. I expect more as we get closer and closer to October. There’s also a bookish historical romance and a YA romance with royalty. Which new releases are you excited for? Let us know in the comments!
RECOMMENDED: The Monsters We Defy by Leslye Penelope is $2.99 and a Kindle Daily Deal! Sarah read this one and gave it a B:
I liked the painstaking and careful character development of the first half more than the zoomy-zoom plot of the second half, but the foundation of historical fiction and incredible detail coupled with folk magic, ghosts, and negotiating with spirits made this an exceptionally fun, absorbing, and thoughtful story.

Dukes Do It Better by Bethany Bennett is $1.99! This is the third book in the Misfits of Mayfair series; we’ve feature the previous two books on sale before. I don’t love how this cover design is a departure from the other books.

The combination of personal catnip with descriptive language and complex characterization is spot on. I recommend this for fans of vocal feminism, found family, angst, and explicit sex in their historicals. I plan to read my copy many, many times!

Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne is $1.99! Elyse gave this one a B+:

Welcome to Cover Awe, where we get to look at pretty covers! Cover illustration by Christin Engelberth Amanda: I love the light and dark comparisons of their mounts! Thought I’d definitely be keeping an eye on that dagger/sword. I hope she’s throwing it up rather than it falling down. Maya: I LOVE the blue horse. And the composition does a lot of good work setting up the characters – one of the land, the other … Continue reading Cover Awe: Great Couples →
