I really need help to find a book. I think the book was published somewhere from 2010-2017.
The main characters already had a couple of lives together but they always die young.
I remember that in the most current iteration of their lives, they were students (they also studied some kind of science) and in another life, they were professors or scientific workers and in that one they died because of something going on with their jobs. In that life, they were leaving each other a lot of nice notes. And I also think that heroine’s name was Kate or her nickname was Cat or something similar, but I am really not confident about this.
I also think that in the end, the heroine gave birth to a baby and thought that all of this (reincarnation) was for this. I was trying to find it for years, I really hope somebody knows it!

Is it Meet Me In Another Life by Catriona Silvey? Published in 2021, but the plot is similar.
Sounds like Meet Me in Another Life by Catriona Silvey (but alas it’s not a romance in the true sense of the term). In the first chapter they’re university students who meet the night before the first day of classes and climb a boarded-up clock tower in a park, which becomes a significant location/touchstone for the rest of the story. In each chapter they’re connected to one another in a different way and (not to get too spoilery) it’s eventually revealed that they’re scientists. If the book you’re looking for is not MMIAL, I strongly recommend it anyway–it’s one of my favorite books–flawed but still fascinating.
This sounds intriguing, but I have no guesses.
I can recommend a m/m romance with a reincarnation theme that includes medical research ~ Any Given Lifetime by Leta Blake.

this is my first time commenting, but it sounds like the 2017 YA novel The Next Together by Lauren James!
The FMC is named Katherine/Kate (depending on the reincarnation, probably). iirc, she and the MMC were scientists in a contemporary timeline, but we also saw some of their lives in historical times [synopsis says the Crimean War and the Siege of Carlisle] – one of which I think she was disguised as a man? Book one concludes with her giving birth to a daughter, who goes on to be the protagonist in the sequel, The Last Beginning. I read it for the sapphic romance in book two, but remember quite liking both books 🙂
