I love a reading bingo! Unfortunately I just committed myself to the epic task of reading all of the Niccolo Rising series by Dorothy Dunnett (old school dense historical adventure series) this summer. Truthfully, suspect I’ll only make it 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through, but it’s a good goal for me.

I hope you will consider doing a fall or winter one. If I’m not done by then, I’ll have to put myself out of my misery 😉

  2. kkw says:

If it had already started I could complete more than one row with June’s reading already – assuming DNFs count. Retellings and new authors always remain super enticing to me, but (along with Vikings) almost invariably make me rage quit.

  3. Stasi says:

I’ll add this to my summer reading challenges! I love the mix of prompts!

  4. denise says:

    This looks fun!

  5. Allison R-B says:

@kkw I feel you! I’ve saved the card image. Now I should go through my TBR and see how many titles I’ve got in the queue that could get me to Bingo! Stickers would make me unreasonably happy…

  6. Susan/DC says:

Can you check off more than one box per book? I’m reading Ali Hazelwood’s THE LOVE HYPOTHESIS right now, and it has both fake dating and an academic setting. If not, it’s not as if having an excuse to read more books is exactly a burden . . .

  7. Amanda says:

    >@Susan/DC: One book per box, please!

  8. Gina says:

So if I read the book on a roadtrip or if the character(s) takes a roadtrip?or both?

  9. Amanda says:

@Gina: The characters take a road trip.

  10. Kareni says:

This looks like much more fun than the local library’s summer reading bingo. Thank you very much!

  11. Kareni says:

@Amanda: A question for you. Does the FREE SPACE require reading a book or does it signify that reading anything is fine for that square?

  12. Amanda says:

@Kareni: Yes, you read a book for the free space, but it can be any book and doesn’t have to satisfy any requirements.

  13. Kareni says:

    Thank you, @Amanda.

Yay – this challenge is now on StoryGraph. Thank you to domtheknight for adding it.

I use StoryGraph and GoodReads for different things and StoryGraph is so, so good for reading challenges. I love that you can see what other people have added for each prompt. I can add books I’m planning to read but it won’t count the prompt as complete until I actually read the book. Which is great for me, because choosing what I’m going to read is half the fun.

  15. Amanda says:

@cleo: Awesome! And thank you to domtheknight for spreading the love on StoryGraph!

  16. Trix says:

If you’re not on social media, can you just list the entries on the form like for the Ripped Bodice Bingo? I’ve tried desktop and mobile and am having trouble resizing the board to a decent size…

  17. Trix says:

Okay, I just linked to my StoryGraph username in the form and listed the five books just in case…then I had to resubmit it because I thought I omitted one. Heat waves are not my friend, I apologize!

  18. Amanda says:

@Trix: We’ve updated the form! You can either submit your social media post or list your books. Thanks for the suggestion (and we received yours!).
