One of my favorite relaxing past times is to add things to my Etsy wishlist. Sometimes it’s a ring or necklace I might buy for myself as a reward for reaching a particular goal, and sometimes it’s future gift ideas for other people. Other times, it’s a way for me to admire how clever and creative people can be – that always gives me a massive lift.
Here are a few things I’ve added to my wishlist and wanted to share with you! Some are limited availability, but when I discover things out of stock, I drop them onto my wishlist anyway, because sometimes I will get an alert that they’re back in.
NB: the links herein are affiliate-coded, which means a portion of any purchase comes back to the site (thanks!) at no extra cost to you. If you use them, great! And if not, no worries!
I do not mind when jewelry tells me what to do.
…
Case in point. Fear not: there is a “Drink Coffee” variation available!
And there are “Bibliophile” and “Bookworm” necklaces, too.
…
How cute is this tiny bar of text on a necklace?
…
Love retro comic books? Got a bracelet just for you:
Shelley Cooper Jewelry has a gorgeous collection – this Y-necklace is stunning and I love it.
…
Love nail polish? Have you met Literary Lacquers?
This Etsy store took me on a long and glorious deep dive into the nail art and nail care beauty blogging community and I have zero regrets about that. Also I love that purple like I cannot even tell you.
…
If you’ve run into me at a conference, you might spot the miniature book necklace I wear at book gatherings. I get a lot of questions about it, and while I don’t think it’s available, if you’re looking to wear a miniature book around your neck, there are many options!
The shop, Nilminova, also makes journals, books, and jewelry in similar styles.
…
And if a book isn’t enough, and you need to wear an entire library around your neck, well, that’s possible:
There’s also a Tiny Pub in a Locket, should you need to switch up your miniatures.
What about you? What’s on your Wish List?
Ah! Time to pimp some of my Etsy faves!
I love these two-sided, clip on bookmarks that are chibi illustrations of famous literary characters: https://www.etsy.com/shop/BeyondthePages19?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=481351843 Bonus! They’re on sale right now!
All you Outlander fans out there, check out this brooch: https://www.etsy.com/listing/196968786/celtic-forest-circle-pendant-silver?ref=user_profile and this ring: https://www.etsy.com/listing/62709888/wild-thistle-interlace-ring-celtic-band?ref=user_profile
Literary Emporium https://www.etsy.com/shop/LiteraryEmporium features feminist literary quotes on shirts, enamel pins, stickers, notebooks etc.
Novel Creations https://www.etsy.com/shop/NovelCreations makes purses out of book covers
Khallion (Karen Hallion) does postcards, prints and pins of literary and popular media characters: https://www.etsy.com/shop/khallion?ref=pr2018_faveshops Check out her She Series postcards and pins
Sprouts and Roots does personalized jewelry but personally I ADORE her personalized pet tags: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SproutsAndRoots?ref=pr2018_faveshops
And of course I gotta slip my own shop in there, where I sell literary and fannish wedding samplers and baby samplers, like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/641166725/jane-eyre-wedding-sampler?ref=shop_home_active_18 I’m always looking for appropriate literary quotes for these, so if you have any please pass them on!
I love the indie polishes on Etsy, including Literary Laquers. I have an ungodly amount of nail polish (obviously not as bad as my book collection, but still a lot), and the quality of the Etsy polishes is almost always excellent. So, my fellow holosexuals and polimaniacs, buy with confidence.
Dang, I misspelled Lacquers. Why does autocarrot insist on changing things I don’t want it to, but then misses the real typos?
…drooling…
My guilty pleasure wish list on Etsy is bird houses, especially those made from up-cycled or re-used materials. The newest addition to the bird house collection in my yard is an up-cycled teapot wren house.
Thanks so much for featuring my ‘Drink Tea…’ 4-sided necklace. I love all your bookish choices!
my friend bought me a Pride and Prejudice necklace for my birthday last year.
