Bookish and Literary Wish List Shopping

One of my favorite relaxing past times is to add things to my Etsy wishlist. Sometimes it’s a ring or necklace I might buy for myself as a reward for reaching a particular goal, and sometimes it’s future gift ideas for other people. Other times, it’s a way for me to admire how clever and creative people can be – that always gives me a massive lift.

Here are a few things I’ve added to my wishlist and wanted to share with you! Some are limited availability, but when I discover things out of stock, I drop them onto my wishlist anyway, because sometimes I will get an alert that they’re back in.

NB: the links herein are affiliate-coded, which means a portion of any purchase comes back to the site (thanks!) at no extra cost to you. If you use them, great! And if not, no worries!

A blue circle pendant with the word READ in white with white flowers above and below
READ pendant, $11.20

I do not mind when jewelry tells me what to do.

A silver bar pendant that reads on each side read Books, drink tea, take naps, be happy
Read Books, Drink Tea, Take Naps, Be Happy – $20

Case in point. Fear not: there is a “Drink Coffee” variation available!

And there are  “Bibliophile” and “Bookworm” necklaces, too.

Recycled Book Bar Necklace - a tube of text that reads "I have these wild dreams"
Recycled Book Page Bar Necklace, $6USD

How cute is this tiny bar of text on a necklace?

Love retro comic books? Got a bracelet just for you:

Love nail polish? Have you met Literary Lacquers?

A deep purple nail color modeled by Krystal of https://queenofnails83.com/
Grin Without a Cat – Alice in LacquerLand – $12  Color modeled by Krystal of QueenofNails83.com

This Etsy store took me on a long and glorious deep dive into the nail art and nail care beauty blogging community and I have zero regrets about that. Also I love that purple like I cannot even tell you.

If you’ve run into me at a conference, you might spot the miniature book necklace I wear at book gatherings. I get a lot of questions about it, and while I don’t think it’s available, if you’re looking to wear a miniature book around your neck, there are many options!

A miniature vintage blue book in a jewelry box
Miniature Book Necklace, choice of colors – $16
Miniature green abd purple books embellished with tiny brass charms and gears
Miniature Books Necklace, $22

The shop, Nilminova, also makes journals, books, and jewelry in similar styles.

And if a book isn’t enough, and you need to wear an entire library around your neck, well, that’s possible:

A tiny gothic library with arched doors and bookshelves and a tiny lattice gallery inside a miniature locket
Tiny Gothic Library in a Locket – $75

There’s also a Tiny Pub in a Locket, should you need to switch up your miniatures.

What about you? What’s on your Wish List?

I love the indie polishes on Etsy, including Literary Laquers. I have an ungodly amount of nail polish (obviously not as bad as my book collection, but still a lot), and the quality of the Etsy polishes is almost always excellent. So, my fellow holosexuals and polimaniacs, buy with confidence.

  3. Susan says:

Dang, I misspelled Lacquers. Why does autocarrot insist on changing things I don’t want it to, but then misses the real typos?

My guilty pleasure wish list on Etsy is bird houses, especially those made from up-cycled or re-used materials. The newest addition to the bird house collection in my yard is an up-cycled teapot wren house.

  6. Thanks so much for featuring my ‘Drink Tea…’ 4-sided necklace. I love all your bookish choices!
