Rolled Florentines that are filled with mocha cream – yum!

  3. Malena says:

I’m a choco-addict, so it would be a brownie. Rich and fudgy, with that crackly top, and slightly warm. Homemade, of course 🙂

  4. Erika says:

Jaffa cakes. They’re practically a fruit. Ahem.

  5. fairywine says:

Macarons…especially now that Ladurée has finally opened an LA location!

  7. chamekke says:

It used to be Nanaimo bars until I discovered a local bakery that makes raspberry, lychee and pistachio Danishes. Terrifyingly addictive o_0

  8. Francesca says:

I love sweets, of course, but, I prefer savouries with my reading and will quite happily graze through an entire of plate of nibbles. This time of year is so dangerous because there is usually an abundance of goodies lying around. I’ve got pea and roasted garlic puree to spread on crackers, some of the most ridiculously high-fat brie you ever saw and a huge tray of rumaki (twee, I know) ready for munching. I always make twice as much as necessary, so I have lots of leftovers for the next week.

  9. Jennifer says:

Any form of chocolate – but chocolate mousse is a favorite – Channukah Sameach

There’s nothing thing better than slowly nibbling at a chocolate croissant and sipping a cup of warm milk while reading a warm and gooey romance.

  14. Stef in AZ says:

At this time of year when I can find the time to read amidst the holiday chaos, I like to eat homemade molasses spice cookies while sipping from a big hot cup of Twining’s lemon ginger tea. (That mug just might happen to be a gigantic Bad Decisions Book Club one BTW, LOL!) Also wanted to say thank you to the SBTB community for making me laugh, making me think, keeping me sane, and enabling my lack of control when it comes to book buying (curses to you, Amazon one-click!). So glad to have found you all and to be a part of this. ~~Waves to fellow Stefanie, Stefanie Magura~~

  15. Cat G says:

Mexican wedding cookies! Or a freshly buttered slice of sourdough toast. Nom nom nom

Wow, this question would pop up during my annual bakingpalooza. My favorite is sand tarts, but not while reading (powdered sugar!), so I’ll just go with my personally perfected toll house cookies.

  21. Laurel says:

Cookies! I am currently making Shortbread, gingerbread, & sugar cookies for Christmas. I love to bake but am trying to lose weight, so this has been a challenge, but I am having fun for at least this week.
