Smart Bitches Reader Party 2013: Mustache Mayhem!

Mustache on a chain because it's ON A CHAINA few weeks ago, I was drinking a martini and playing on Amazon within arm's reach of Twitter, and the idea of having a mustache-themed party at RWA was born. Why mustaches?

Well, why not?

Really, mustaches or not, I'd love to throw a party after the RWA Literacy Signing ( 5:30-7:30 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis — you are going, right?!) so the readers who come on down to all the Peachtree Streets in Atlanta (seriously there are, like, eighteen, and they are ALL NEXT TO EACH OTHER) have a place to go afterward to meet each other, drink, eat, and … wear mustache tattoos.

Well, the tattoo part is optional, but I'd love to meet you all, and enjoy good food, romance readers (the most awesomest people ever) and the general squee of having acquired many, many excellent books. Romance readers are among the most friendly and interesting people – that Dos Equis guy knows nothing – and I would love to meet you all.

So! Announcing the first annual Smart Bitches Reader Party! If you're attending the RWA Literacy Signing, I hope you'll stay downtown on 17 July 2013 and join us! All are welcome, so please, come on over!

Head on over to our party site and get the details, RSVP, and prepare ye to nosh the good foods! We're holding the party at Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint, and there will be Southern food and excellent people waiting for you. (And mustaches. I know you're all about the mustaches.)

I hope you'll join us! Books and mustaches welcome!

  1. The mustaches just add a whole additional level of awesome to this

  2. As a 2012 GH finalist, I’m part of the Firebirds and emails are flying back and forth about the Smart Bitches party, so I have a feeling you’re going to have a full house! Spotted an RSVP on the loop as well. Darn, I had to cancel going to Nationals at the last minute – doctor not allowing me to fly after eye surgery. Here’s hoping your party is a success and I’ll see you next year in San Antonio!

I hope we have a good crowd… all willing to wear mustaches, mwahahah! 🙂
