Time to announce the March Book Club Pick! This month's selection is The Chocolate Kiss by Laura Florand.
Summary? OUI:
Welcome to La Maison des Sorcieres. Where the window display is an enchanted forest of sweets, a collection of conical hats delights the eye and the habitués nibble chocolate witches from fanciful mismatched china. While in their tiny blue kitchen, Magalie Chaudron and her two aunts stir wishes into bubbling pots of heavenly chocolat chaud.
But no amount of wishing will rid them of interloper Philippe Lyonais, who has the gall to open one of his world famous pastry shops right down the street. Philippe's creations seem to hold a magic of their own, drawing crowds of beautiful women to their little isle amidst the Seine, and tempting even Magalie to venture out of her ivory tower and take a chance, a taste. . .a kiss.
Parisian princesses, chocolate witches, pâtissier princes and sweet wishes—an enchanting tale of amour et chocolat.
This book is available digitally and in paperback. As always, All Romance eBooks is offering the 50% eBook Buck rebate if you use code SBTBARE at checkout. The rebate is good from March 1-14, 2013. This book retails at $11.99US so a 50% rebate is a nice bit of ebook cash for future purchases.
And we have a chat date set, too! The Book Club Chat will be Thursday 28 at 9:00pm ET. Laura Florand will join us at 10pm for a Q&A, and I may throw chocolates into the mix as well.

And finally: win a copy!
Kensington is so excited about our selection that they've offered me five print copies of the book. I'm throwing in five digital copies, so there's 10 copies up for grab this weekend, if you're interested!
Just leave a comment with your favorite chocolate dessert and your choice of format (if you have one), and you're entered to win. I'll pick the winners on the evening of Monday 4 March 2013.
Standard disclaimers apply: void where prohibited. Open to international residents where permissible by applicable law. Must be over 18 and fond of dessert to win. Never feed a dog chocolate. Give the chocolate to yourself, instead.
I loved reading this book, as did many other romance fans: Sunita at DA gave it an A-, and Mandi at Smexybooks gave it an A. I hope you'll pick it up this month. It's a wonderfully emotional and delicious story, and so so romantic.
Oooh! I loved The Chocolate Thief with a passion that should ONLY be reserved for really good quality dark chocolate *g* so this is a definite Please Pick Me!
My favorite chocolate dessert is Chocolate Brownie Pie. Chocolate pastry, brownie-style filling, ganache topping…. Oooh La La! (And it’s better the next day… if there’s any leftovers, that is.)
Ooops! Forgot to mention format: print or mobi would be fab. Can do epub, too. Hey, I’m not fussy 🙂
I love chocolate. Everything about it. The texture, the taste, the smell. My fave dessert is molleux au chocolat (chocolate cake with a melty, gooey deep chocolatey insides that slowly goop out once the outside of the cake has been eaten). I would be happy to take either format. Thanks!
This is a candy rather than a dessert… but Sweet Sloops. Twenty-five years ago, never forgotten.
Brownie pudding. It’s like lava cake, but I’ve been eating it since I was a little girl from a recipe that’s even older!
Tough Question. I’d have to say there is nothing like a fresh-baked perfect brownie. The brownie can’t be crumbly dry or excessively moist. The Pièce de résistance is the powdered sugar that gently coats the perfect brownie. Sometimes, though, that’s too rich. When I want something chocolate late at night, I’ll make myself a hot chocolate with marshmallow vodka. Perfect!
Mmm, brownie pudding. The cooks in my house ( dorm) in college did it the best, but senior year I changed houses and the cooks in the new house couldn’t master it.
Otherwise brownie with white chocolate chunks.
And generally e book is best
I would have to go with anything that involves chocolate mousse. : ) I don’t have a format preference.
I love a simple brownie with no extras—no frosting, no chocolate chips, no caramel/peanut butter/cheesecake. Just a perfect, slightly uncooked in the middle brownie (Ghirardelli Supreme gets me every time). But if I want to go less everyday, then a flourless chocolate roll cake with whipped cream (bless you, Joy the Baker). If I will, I’d love a paper book.
I’m in. I make a killer Boston Cream Pie. And my mother-in-law makes a salted chocolate cake that just about killed me instead. I’ll take an ebook please.
Hm… love a nut/chocolate combo. So good. Yum!
Print or ebook is fine. .mobi for ebook tho. 😀
Forgive the self indulgence. My current favourite dessert is the Herbs de Provence sprinkled with sea salt chocolate truffles I made last weekend. They are DIVINE and I got some pretty nice compliments on them. If I won, that book is too cute to deny having in print.
see I want to sound all smart and say tiramisu but I don’t even know if that has chocolate in it . . .really if my hubby wants to make me happy he just needs to buy a few peanut butter cups and I’m 😀
I’d take either but prefer ebook for a nook
thanks
Chocolate truffles, yum! The book sounds delicious, I’d prefer e-book but would love either format!
I love toasted bread (the chewier the better), butter, and really good chocolate chips mashed together until it’s a melted gooey mess. My cheap version of pain au chocolat.
Any version of the book would be fine.
A chocolate eclair always sounds heavenly to me. And I would prefer a print copy.
This sounds like such a good book. Favorite chocolate would have to be my Tante’s Chocolate Cannolis and I would take this book any way I could get it.
Does hot chocolate count as dessert? It’s my absolute favorite form of chocolate. 🙂 Print or ebook(mobi) is fine.
I’m a bit of a traditionalist in that I adore a big ol’ slice of chocolate cake. I’ve also been known to settle down with good book, a spoon and jar of Nutella. I’m good with either print or epub.
My favourite chocolate dessert would be my sister’s flourless chocolate cake (it’s like a pudding). Mobi format for me, please.
I saw Laura talk about this book, and it sounded awesome! My favorite chocolate dessert is hard to pick, but I think I’m going to go with chocolate espresso brownies dusted with sea salt (a recipe designed by my friend Jael).
Mmmm….chocolate. I’ve only made it once, it took me all day, but sooo worth it: a flourless chocolate cake covered with homemade toffee and then ganache. A teeny slice is all anyone could eat at a time, but wow. E-version for me, please!
I love all chocolate but right now I would love a double dark chocolate gelato. If I win the book, I would love it as a print book or as a Kindle e-book. : )
Not a chocaholic here. However, I certainly wouldn’t mind concluding a meal with a box of assorted Harbor Sweets. No witches, but a Sweet Sloop would take me to a better place. Yum!

Kindle or paper.
I love a good chocolate pudding. Yum.
chocolate brownies! Yummy…
I like printed copies…
I adore DeBrands chocolate truffles… and would love a print copy!
I REALLY want to win this book!! 🙂 In any format! I love chocolate cake with a big heap of frosting. (However, I can’t eat it due to health reasons so I have to improvise!)
We had a chocolate souffle on our honeymoon that was divine. I’d love more of those.
I don’t mind with type, but I’d prefer a digital copy.
I think my favorite form of chocolate dessert would have to be a nice slice of chocolate mousse cake…..I get my chocolate fix, but it’s not too heavy and overkill-sweet…..
And if I win, i would prefer the print version….thank you!
I would love to win this book in either format. My favorite dessert is chocolate cake—particularly flourless—with real whipped cream. And now I’m hungry.
Chocolate ice-cream. No I mean chocolate cake. No I mean brownies. No I mean chocolate mousse. No I mean hot chocolate. No I mean chocolate truffles. No I mean chocolate…… Oh whatever the chocolate I will be happy with with. Give me handful of M&M’s and we are good.
I am a Kindle girl.
I’ve heard so many good things about the book!! 🙂 One of my favorite chocolate desserts (yes, I have more than 1) is chocolate trifle with raspberries or strawberries… Mmmm yummy 🙂
I’m fine with either print or e-book 🙂
Chocolate fudge! My preferred format would be ebook for Nook or Kindle.
Wait, I have to choose a favourite chocolate dessert? There are just too many to choose from. Perhaps black forrest cake is my favourite, along with chocolate cheesecake and straight milk chocolate.
I’d be happy to win it in either format, though my new e-reader can always use new books.
A slice of David Glass’s Chocolate Mousse Cake, please!
A print copy of the book.
Soo excited for this months pick! I love truffles and you can’t beat a chocolate lava cake….. Print or e book works for me … Thanks for such an awesome pick!!
This book looks gorgeous. I am pretty excited for this month’s book club. Ah foo, even if I don’t manage to win, I think I may pick up a copy. It sounds great.
And my favorite desert is Capachino. Because I can drink it with one hand and read a book with the other. And my favorite file type is EPUB.
My mom’s chocolate pound cake. Yum! Print or kindle, I’m not picky.
Favorite Chocolate Dessert: All of them. Pie, cake, mousse, Kit Kats, pudding cups … Whatever.
I prefer digital
