Luck Is No Lady by Amy Sandas is $1.99! This is the first book in the Fallen Ladies series and it came out earlier this year. I’m also loving the cover for this one. Many readers mentioned good book noises after finishing this romance, while others felt the romance between the hero and heroine wasn’t very convincing. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads.
RECOMMENDED: The Ones Who Got Away by Roni Loren is $1.99! This romance came out last year and I really enjoyed it and its portrayal of people living with trauma. I gave it a B+, but as it deals with victims of gun violence, I completely understand why readers may want to avoid it.
If the subject matter doesn’t scare you off and your catnip is friends to lovers, slow burn-y goodness, The Ones Who Got Away is highly worth the read.
The Untouchable Earl by Amy Sandas is $1.99! This is a historical romance with a hero who hates to be touched and a heroine who’s been auctioned off at a pleasure house. Readers enjoyed the hero, but found that his aversion to touch was overcome rather easily. This is the second book in the Fallen Ladies series and can be read as a standalone. However, the first book is FREE and the third book is only $2.99.
The Viking Queen’s Men by Holley Trent is $2.99 at Amazon! This is a paranormal erotic romance with vikings and some menage elements. I have seen this recommended all over Twitter and I take my Twitter recommendations very seriously. However, some readers thought this was a historical romance and it is not.
Hannah Wood, [former] associate editor at Harper, reached out to me about the book. Normally, I’m pretty knowledgeable about books coming out, but this one wasn’t even on my radar. The cover reminds me of a YA novel, which isn’t a genre I read often, and admittedly, I was skeptical. I couldn’t exactly nail down the genre, but that’s really part of the beauty of the book. It’s not just one thing. It’s fantasy. It’s thriller. It’s romance. It’s horror.
