HaBO: Why Choose Romance with a Pet Kraken

This HaBO request is from Mikayla, who wants to find this “why choose” romance:

It’s a paranormal, why choose romance with a siren/mermaid princess as the female lead.

She was living on land. I think she might have been in exile and ends up meeting her mates. She gets called back home by her father (the king) and she uses her pet kraken to get there. There’s a guy who is manipulating her father with magic, and ends up using magic on her to make her forget her mates so she will marry him and he can get the kingdom.

Her mates end up coming to save her and they have to remind her who they are. It might also be a spin off from another series where the princess is a side character.

Can we find this book?

If no one here knows, I suggest trying the Facebook page Monsters, Demons and Knotting Oh My, this is right up their alley.

I read the header as a question and wondered so many things. Lol

This is what happens when you’re worried about your college kid after his campus closed because of a hurricane.

I don’t know the answer to this, but it brought to mind Wriggle and Sparkle: the collective tales of a Unicorn and Kraken by Megan Derr. I know what I’m rereading next!

@denise: I can definitely sympathize as my daughter is across an ocean. Sending all good thoughts.

@Kareni, Thanks! Francine spared them and the shelter in place was lifted early. Hugs to you being an ocean apart from your daughter.

@denise: that is great news! And thank you.
