Flying Solo is such a great cozy romance and Linda Holmes intimated there’s another novel on the way!
I really loved Evvie Drake Starts Over – Flying Solo was good, but didn’t quite live up to how much I loved Holmes’ debut. I would still definitely read anything else Holmes comes out with – she has a really fresh voice, and I love the Maine setting. The Bowen was just okay – it’s book one in a 3 book series, each written by a different author, each about a different member of a famous rock band. There are better rock star romances out there, if that’s your thing, but Bowen’s stuff is compulsively readable, so I can’t say I didn’t finish it in like a day.
I thought Marry Me by Midnight was really good! Felt like a quick read, loved the two MsC.
Hmm, I was really underwhelmed by Marry Me By Midnight, which I wanted to love. It wasn’t that well written and the plot felt really unrealistic. I did like the illustration of Jewish Regency London, though.
