  • Two Rogues Make a Right

Two Rogues Make a Right by Cat Sebastian

RECOMMENDED: Two Rogues Make a Right by Cat Sebastian is $1.99! Lara wrote a Lightning Review for this one and gave it an A:

This review could easily extend to countless paragraphs of my simply listing the ways in which I love this book and what it has done for me, but I must stop so that you, dear Bitchery, can pick this book up and enjoy it yourselves.

Will Sedgwick can’t believe that after months of searching for his oldest friend, Martin Easterbrook is found hiding in an attic like a gothic nightmare. Intent on nursing Martin back to health, Will kindly kidnaps him and takes him to the countryside to recover, well away from the world.

Martin doesn’t much care where he is or even how he got there. He’s much more concerned that the man he’s loved his entire life is currently waiting on him hand and foot, feeding him soup and making him tea. Martin knows he’s a lost cause, one he doesn’t want Will to waste his life on.

As a lifetime of love transforms into a tender passion both men always desired but neither expected, can they envision a life free from the restrictions of the past, a life with each other?

  • Butterfly Bayou

    Butterfly Bayou by Lexi Blake

Butterfly Bayou by Lexi Blake is $1.99! Carrie recently reviewed this one. She noted that her experience was a positive one, but says the cover of a butterflies and a sweet puppy do not match the contents inside. If you’re sensitive to particular triggers, give her review a read.

New York Times bestselling author Lexi Blake is back with an all-new heartwarming, small-town contemporary romance series set against the spicy southern backdrop of Louisiana’s Butterfly Bayou.

Life in Dallas took a tragic turn for nurse practitioner Lila Daley. In need of a fresh start, she retreats to Papillon, Louisiana, a tiny town on the bayou. Sure she’s greeted by a gator, finds herself in the middle of golf cart wars, and unwittingly adopts a scruffy dog, but Lila remains undaunted. She’s focused on running the town’s medical clinic, but fitting into the quirky community is harder than she imagined.

As a single dad, Sheriff Armie LaVigne embraces routine. But there is nothing routine about the town’s newest resident. Lila is a gorgeous fish out of water and he’s ready to catch her. In fact, in no time at all, Armie knows Lila is the woman for him and he plans to win her heart. But when the past threatens their happiness, Armie will have to decide if he has the courage to trust Lila enough to find a true happily ever after.

  • Fierce & Fabulous

Fierce & Fabulous by Elizabeth Varlet

Fierce & Fabulous by Elizabeth Varlet is 99c! This is the first book in a M/M erotic contemporary series. I’m not 100% on if it’s an erotic romance or not, but a lot of reviews mention the high amount of sex and sexual content. Readers also note this is a “gay for you” romance, if that is or isn’t you thing.

The first in a scorching new male/male series by Elizabeth Varlet. Behind the Sassy Boyz’s seductive smiles and sinful dance moves are desires that will leave readers breathless.

Fitch Donovan never thought a lap dance could change his life, but from the moment the gorgeous dancer’s lips touch his, his world comes screeching to a halt. No matter how hard he tries, he can’t shake the desire that rocks him to his core. He’s longed for this passion all his life—he just never dreamed he’d find it with another man.

Sharing a soul-shaking kiss with a straight boy is the kind of drama Ansel Becke just doesn’t need. Spotlights aren’t made for two and Ansel prefers to keep things on a one-night-only basis. So when Fitch shows up asking for an encore, Ansel knows he should send his gorgeous ass packing.

Though Ansel tries to pretend that what’s between him and Fitch is far from fabulous, there’s something about the big, burly contractor that makes Ansel’s world sparkle in a way no amount of glitter ever could. And Fitch will do whatever it takes to convince Ansel that when the thing you need most in the world falls right into your lap, you’d be a fool to let it go.

  • Like Lovers Do

Like Lovers Do by Tracey Livesay

Like Lovers Do by Tracey Livesay is $1.99! Carrie reviewed this one and gave it C+, though notes there is an “evil ex” and everyone could have benefited from therapy. However, there were some good parts:

This book is very descriptive: the dreamy vacations are dreamy, the sex is hot, and many of the issues that are present deserve exploration.

Tracey Livesay continues her fun-filled Girls Trip series with this romance that will tug at your heartstrings.

Sometimes faking it can lead to the real thing…

Driven and focused, Dr. Nicole Allen is an accomplished surgeon. With a tough past, Nic’s gone above and beyond everyone’s expectations. But when she disciplines an intern—a powerful donor’s son—a prestigious fellowship she’s awaiting is placed in jeopardy.

Coming from a successful family who runs a medical business empire, Benjamin Reed Van Mont is the black sheep, having chosen to start his own business instead. Though he’s not ready to settle down, he knows when the time comes it definitely won’t be with a workaholic doctor like his friend Nic—even if she’s had him re-examining his edict…more than once.

When Ben’s status-climbing ex-girlfriend finds her way back into his orbit, Nic proposes a swap of services. She’ll spend the week with Ben on Martha’s Vineyard, pretending to be his girlfriend—but only if he’ll have his family intervene on her behalf so she won’t lose her fellowship. How hard can the charade be?

But as they’re about to discover, they’ve sorely underestimated their true feelings for each other…

Just wanted to recommend Two Rogues Make a Right. I read it over the summer and it was every bit as adorable as that cover promised it would be. Just remembering how much I enjoyed it has convinced me to do a re-read.

  2. Katie Lynn says:

A Ferry of Bones and God by Hailey Turner is FREE today. MM urban fantasy that I really enjoyed, first in a series. I think I’ve seen this author’s meta human files books recommended here.

I read Fierce and Fabulous when it came out, I don’t recall it being erotica, but definitely high on the sex scene content. There were some things I liked at the time in regards to one character being genderfluid (? I’m pretty sure?) that may or may not hold up to today’s scrutiny. HIGH ANGST. CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH THE ANGST, and I’m pretty sure TW for rape/mention of rape or other sexual related violence (not on page if I recall correctly)

Loved ‘Two Rogues.’ 10/10, would buy again.

The Sugared Game by KJ Charles (Will Darling #2) is 99c on Amazon.

  5. cleo says:

I enjoyed Two Rogues Make a Right a lot.

It’s not for everyone – one of the criticisms I saw on GR is that nothing really happens, it’s just a giant feelings-fest. Which is fair and didn’t bother me at all.

It’s the 3rd in a trilogy and while it probably stands alone, the redemption arc makes more sense if you’ve read the other two books.

My biggest problem with the book the way it ended – the hea was very emotionally satisfying but didn’t include enough plausible deniability for 2 men living together for my taste.

CW for PTSD / past trauma from abuse, chronic and presumed terminal illness. Also note that the hea is bit limited because of above presumed terminal illness.
