EDITED TO ADD: Because I’m a dumbass, I’ll give you another day in penance for my complete badness with the numbers. So: NOON EST US Saturday 12 December. The first actual day of Hanukkah!

And my apologies. Good thing I’m a certified card-carrying Jewish mother. I got skills of guilt, yo.

THIS Friday!  The original post had the 18th as deadline.  But as Hanukkah starts this evening—I probably should have figured out what you meant…

Alas—my addled brain can’t cough up cleverness this morning, so I’ll have to pass.

  2. SB Sarah says:

MY BAD. Yes, deadline is today. Holy cow, I’m really not fit for daily operation yet.

    Sorry about that.

  3. Brooks*belle says:

No problem.  And I DO have a calendar not 15 inches from my nose, so I missed the obvious!

And I’d only gotten as far as picking Purim as the holiday and having my requisite Bob character be the heroine’s cranky Persian cat…so yeah; not so much cleverness yet.

  4. Melissandre says:

Yeah, I was saving up my cleverness for next week too.  *Sigh*

  5. I thought it was next Friday also.  Saw today’s post, went “WTF?” and whipped something out that came in exactly at 200 words.

And then I realized after I hit “Send” at 11:53 that I’d sent you a teaser, not a pitch.

  6. SB Sarah says:

Since i am dumbass who is really bad with numbers, you wants more time? How about noon tomorrow?

  7. Xuxana says:

Oh phew! Well its a good thing I’ve sent in my pitch already!

  8. Brooks*belle says:

    Cool beans!

  9. Thanks for the extra time!  I’ll whip something out [heh] between grating sweet potatoes and chopping onions for the latkes tonight.

  10. Leave the guilt to us Catholics lol. good luck to everyone.

  11. Well, I thought it was December 18, too, but my stars must be aligned because I popped my entry off yesterday in the holiday spirit of non-procrastination.  NOT!  Anyhow, my Bob the Toaster story is in the fray.  Thanks for the opportunity!
