Bits O’ News

Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist is being made into a movie starring Michael Cera and Kat Dennings. I read this book while I was in labor with Baba O’Riley – so I’m totally doing the happy dance that it’s being made into a film.

what’s it about?  by the actor, i’m guessing nothing to do with The Thin Man.

Did you love it? I’m so glad you read it!

Dragonette, it’s about two teenagers who’ve recently broken up with their significant others and meet up at a concert in New York and spend the rest of the night wandering the city, falling in love. It’s cowritten by a male and female author, and they trade off chapters—he writes the boy parts, she writes the girl parts. IT’S AMAZING.

  3. Kristin says:

Darn!  I’m sure it’s good and all, but when I hear “Nick and Norah”, I automatically think “Thin Man”.

  4. N&N is one of the best books I’ve read this year. When I finished it, I flipped back to the first page and started reading it again; it’s just that good.

    I’m so excited!

Rachel Cohn likes to play with names in her books—in another series there’s a girl named Cyd Charisse whose parents are Sid and Nancy. So no, nothing to do with The Thin Man, just an inside joke for the old farts.
