Song of the Forever Rains by E.J. Mellow is $1.99! This one was published by Amazon, so it’s only available there. On Goodreads, there does seem to be some confusion on whether this falls into adult romance or young adult. Others say it splits the different at new adult.

A Treason of Truths by Ada Harper is $1.99! This is a queer, sci-fi romance and the second book in the Whisper series. I think it can be read as a stand alone, but the main characters in this one, I think, were secondary characters in the first book. I mentioned this on a previous Book Beat, where it was described as “Queer Girl Die Hard on a floating city.”

Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill is $2.99! Urban fantasy with some hints of romance, Some Girls Bite is the first book in the Chicagoland Vampire series. The cover had a pretty big facelift, by the way, and I think it’s actually an improvement. Some found the books elements a little silly (i.e. continuous Buffy references), while others really enjoyed them. Have you read this one?
