Smart Podcast Trashy Books Romantic Times RewindWe’re traveling back to April 2006 in this month’s RT Rewind! We take a look at the reviews in this issue and we’ve got some one-star reviews, and curiously paranormal is part of contemporary? It’s weird.

Things I initially pronounce wrong: demesne

  1. Another Anne says:

I was surprised to hear a mention of a book by Gillian Roberts that was reviewed in 2006. I read some of her Amanda Pepper series in the early 1990s, along with other mystery series by Sue Grafton (Kinsey Milhone), Diane Mott Davidson (Goldie Bear and her catering company) and Ellis Peters (Brother Cadfael). Lots of odd and sometimes “punny titles” in mysteries back then. The early Amanda Pepper books all had Philly related titles and I believe one involved a murder during the Mummers Parade. I may have to see if I can find them in ebook form, since my paper copies were donated before a move.
