Sizzling Book Club Pick for November: Season for Surrender by Theresa Romain

Time for some romance – some holiday romance! The November book club pick is Theresa Romain's Season for Surrender. I received an ARC of this book a month back, and though I don't usually go for holiday romances, the house party theme of this one really tempted me – and boy, am I glad I read it.

Here's the summary:

Season for Surrender - A woman in an ivory gown with her back to the reader looking over her shoulder Alexander Edgware, Lord Xavier, has quite a reputation – for daring, wagering, and wickedness in all its delightful forms. But the wager before him is hardly his preferred sport: Xavier must persuade a proper young lady to attend his famously naughty Christmas house party – and stay the full, ruinous two weeks.

Worse, the lady is Louisa Oliver, a doe-eyed bookworm Xavier finds quite charming. Yet to refuse the challenge is impossible – he will simply have to appoint himself Miss Oliver's protector.

Louisa knows her chance for a husband has passed. But she has no desire to retire into spinsterhood without enjoying a few grand adventures first. When Lord Xavier's invitation arrives, Louisa is more intrigued than insulted. And once inside the rogues' gallery, she just may have a thing or two to teach her gentlemen friends about daring.

Y'all, they are in the library a great deal, and those are some of the best scenes in the book.

This book is available at AllRomance with the 50% rebate, and the rebate will be good from Nov 1- 15. Plus, it's a Kensington book which means all your coupons are all good. You'll get 50% back in eBook Bucks if you use code SBTBARE at checkout. The book is also available in print at most bookstores, such as Amazon, or your local library.

I'm still working out the book club chat date, but I'll announce it soon.

I hope that if you don't usually enjoy holiday romances you give this one a try. I really enjoyed it, and I can't wait to talk to y'all about it.

  1. Oh, heck yes.  I’m there.  (And yes, I find that library scenes in romances are the best…)

  2. I hope you don’t mind a guy (well at least this guy) crashing the Sizzling Book Club this month.  I little holiday themed romance sounds like fun!

And my apologies – the rebate begins Nov 1 through Nov 15, and it’s Nov 1 where I am, but it’s still Oct. 31 in the US, and now I have to go lie down. Sorry for the early post, y’all.
