This may be Eve's only shot to clear her name from any involvement in a terrorist cell and bring in a wanted assassin. But can the ultimate party girl do it? And can she convince the sexy Mr. I'm All Business Hathaway that there are times to move fast—and times to go very slowly….

It’s hard to like a book when you have an extreme dislike for the heroine but somehow, she redeems herself quite well about half way in to the book and made this an enjoyable read.

Eve Dupont, a French American blonde bombshell is every man’s dream. Unfortunately, she knows this well and isn’t afraid to use her sexuality to get what she wants. Her arrogance is overwhelming. This is somewhat frustrating at the beginning when she can’t seem to understand when she encounters a man who is immune to her charms.

Brady Hathaway, an agent representing a Government agency, H.O.T. Watch, is hired to detain a terrorist group responsible for several bombings. He needs a civilian to help him bring down Annika Cantori, the terrorist responsible for Eve’s brothers death. Brady, a master manipulator, convinces Eve to do the job.

As the story develops, you find out a little more about Eve and her reasons for hiding behind her physical attributes. You also learn why Brady leads such a detached lifestyle. As the two work together and get to know each other, they both soften and find themselves in a predicament they have never experienced, sheer desire.

And when the sparks fly, it drives Brady to distraction potentially endangering them both.

Overall, I liked the book and Brady and Eve had cute banter but it was frustrating during the first 1/3-1/2 of the book getting to a point where the characters were likeable. Also, Eve’s way of getting into Brady’s heart was by throwing herself at him, not my idea of romance.

This book can be read as a stand alone book but some of Cindy Dees' Medusa Series feature Brady as a supporting character.
