Hello, Black Friday! Kindles, Housewares, Books and More!

Black Friday, and its adorable cousin, Cyber Monday, are upon us, so I’ll be dropping deals that might interest you as I find them. If you find something that would be of use or of interest, please drop it in the comments or email me!

Amazon Fire Stick The Amazon Fire TV Stick is 38% off at $24.99. We have one of these, and we bring it with us on trips so we can stream Netflix, Prime programming and whatever else we want if we’re going somewhere that there’s WiFi. It’s pretty small and useful, though I must confess, the clicker is REALLY tiny and very easy to use.

On the plus side, my younger son loves the clicker because it’s a lot easier to use and more intuitive than the clicker that controls the cable box and everything else.

The Kindle Paperwhite Wi-FI with Special Offers is $99.99. This has been on sale for a little while now, so I imagine the price will go up.

Normally it’s $119.99. This is the device I have and use daily, and I love it. The onboard light is terrific and it’s durable and lightweight and lives in my bag.

The Kindle 6″ Wi-Fi Touchscreen is $49.99 for a limited time.

Normally this device is $79.99 -and under $50 is one of the lowest prices I’ve seen for this one. Note: this does not have the onboard light on the screen.

Over at BN.com, there’s a 30% off One Item coupon available until 11/29, and it exclused NOOKs, and Legos (darn it). If you use the online code 30BFRIDAY, any one item will be 30% off.

There’s also a Buy One, Get One 50% off for select toys and games at BN, and a big selection of books signed by the author (though, weirdly, hardly any romance at all).

And and and! At AllRomance, their Black Friday markdowns include many titles from Dreamspinner Press, if you’re looking to stock up. (And Monday at ARe should be a lot of fun if past years are any indication!)

ETA: Amber Quill Press has 60% off most of the books in their catalog today only!

And in the “random stuff on sale” department:

The Instant Pot Programmable Pressure Cooker is 67% off at $78.60 at Amazon. I have a stovetop pressure cooker that I’ve been experimenting with – the science is kind of fantastic, because it ends with dinner.

Cereal Container

I’m not sure if this is Black Friday or a general markdown, but I have this cereal container, and it holds a LOT of cereal (including some of the warehouse-store sizes) which is good because I have young people in my house who eat a LOT of everything. The Snapware 22.8-cup cereal container is $9.95 and I’ve found it to be supremely useful.

Clear Glass mug with three levels - SHHHHH, ALMOST, and NOW YOU MAY SPEAK down when the cup is nearly empty Over at Signals, which is a catalog I love too much, there are one-day markdowns on many, many things.

I think many of you might like this coffee cup:

The Now You May Speak coffee cup (and there’s no reason why it can’t be used for tea) is $9.56 today. You can get two for $9.95 each – which would work well for any and all workplace or “Under $10” gift exchanges.

OK, I’ve got sofa-located shopping to do, but if you find any deals, please drop them in the comments, or email me!

Also at B&N – the Glowlight Plus and Samsung TAB4 7″ are $99.99 each. If you are a B&N member, you can get the older Glowlight for $89.

I have an Instant Pot and I LOVE it. So easy to use and after using it for a month I am finally past my fear of it exploding (as my Italian mother-in-law’s stovetop pressure cooker once did, coating the entire kitchen in bean soup). Things that would take hours to cook conventionally are done in *minutes*. Plus it can be used as a rice cooker and slower cooker as well. Highly recommend!

Not Black Friday, but Dreamspinner Press is launching a monthly category m/m contemporary romance line called Dreamspinner Desires in January. For $12.99 (print + free ebook) or $6.99 (ebook only) you will get 2 books per month. You have to order by the 15th to get books for the next month. The cover design is definitely reminiscient of the Harlequin Presents style, and I am so excited about this! This might make a great gift for yourself or the m/m romance fan in your life! 😀 http://www.dreamspinnerpress.com/store/index.php?cPath=1583
