Unfortunately, we won’t be doing a Reader Recommendation party this year, but we hope you can make it … Continue reading Links: Chocolate, Reading Groups, and More!→
Love Will Always Remember by Tracey Livesay is 99c! This is a contemporary romance with amnesia and a forbidden relationship, given that the hero is the heroine’s soon-to-be brother-in-law. In this one, the heroine is the one with a redemption arc and readers loved that aspect. However, some admit that things are a bit slow to start.
Binti by Nnedi Okorafor is $1.99! This is a scifi novella that comes highly recommended and one of the author’s previous works is being made into a series. However, some readers felt it didn’t live up to its hype. It also won a Nebula award for best novella. Did you read this one?
RECOMMENDED: Temptations of a Wallflower by Eva Leigh is $1.99 at Amazon! Maybe there will be some price-matching later in the day! Elyse read this one and gave it an A-:
Temptations of a Wallflower is very very sexy (people talking openly about sex and finding what works for them together is sexy) and it’s also very smart. There were a few things I still wanted, though. Overall, I found the third book in the Wicked Quills of London series to be eminently readable and very hot, and I highly recommend it.
Because of Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn is $2.99! I know Quinn is an autobuy author for a lot of people and Carrie did a Lightning Review for this particular title. She said:
If you like the other Bridgerton books, you will probably like this one just fine. Just don’t expect anything terribly new or different.
Along Came Love by Tracey Livesay is $1.99! This book just came out THIS MONTH! It was also featured in Hide Your Wallet. Livesay writes smart, competent characters, but some reviewers that the heroine was a bit too Manic Pixie Dream Girl for them. Anyone interested?
Is it officially fall yet? Because cooler weather means curling up with a good book, a fluffy blanket, and a warm drink, which is easily one of my favorite things to do. Below are some awesome books that the SBTB posse is totally pumped for, but here are some other important releases coming out this month: New Margaret Atwood! Hag-Seed is a retelling of Shakespeare’s The Tempest Charlaine Harris returns to her Aurora Teagarden cozy mystery series with All … Continue reading October’s New Releases→
RECOMMENDED: Love on My Mind by Tracey Livesay is $1.99! I haven’t finished this book yet, but I’m loving it so far. The heroine is amazing. So much competence porn! However, some readers felt the details about software development were inaccurate. It has a 3.8-star rating on Goodreads.
I have to admit that summer is my least favorite season. Good thing there are so many new releases coming out to keep me inside and in front of my fan. But first, here are some popular upcoming July books that didn’t make our personal list of picks: Victoria Schwab is starting a brand new series with This Savage Song . If you’re anxious to read the follow up to The Bourbon Kings, J.R. Ward’s The Angels’ Share is … Continue reading July’s New Releases→
