This book made me swoon IRL. Reading it was a fever dream and not just because of the sex scenes. I was so immersed in it that the real world and its troubles didn’t even occur to me for the duration of the book. (I am anxious by nature, so this is a feat.)

I’m a gigantic sucker for retellings, whether they’re of fairy tales, myths, or classic novels, and A Spindle Splintered might be my favourite so far. Its take on a multiverse feels fresh because there are no superheroes, only badass girls saving themselves.
The Smoke Hunter by Jacquelyn Benson is $3.99! Benson was on a recnet-ish podcast and I immediately put this on hold at my library. It sounds like a lot of fun. Have any of you read this one? I’ll be sure to report back after I’ve finished it.
Best of Luck by Kate Clayborn is 99c! This is the third and final book in the Chance of a Lifetime series, which has had several favorably comments from the Bitchery. The hero in this one is the brother of the heroine’s best friend, if that is or isn’t your catnip.
