The Murder of Mr. Wickham by Claudia Gray is $1.99! Thank you to everyone who let us know about this one! Sarah mentioned this one in a previous Hide Your Wallet and it definitely fits within the Bitchery’s interests.

RECOMMENDED: The Intimacy Experiment by Rosie Danan is $1.99! Ellen gave this one a B+:
I found The Intimacy Experiment to be a very strong entry in the annals of “sexy ice queen melts for beta hero and beta hero only” romance. The dialogue is excellent when it’s funny, when it’s serious, and when it’s tender.

When We Left Cuba by Chanel Cleeton is $1.99 and a KDD! This one features a character from the first book in this series, Next Year in Havana, but I believe you can manage this one as a standalone. If I’m wrong, though, chime in below! Here’s what Sarah had to say:
When We Left Cuba is beautiful and fascinating. Better recommendation comes from my house sitter earlier this year who very timidly asked if she could read my ARC of book three because she loves the series so so much and was so excited that a preview copy was in her vicinity.

Moonshadow by Thea Harrison is 99c! This is the first book in the Moonshadow series. This book was mentioned in December 2016’s Hide Your Wallet. I bought this one and tried reading it, but I couldn’t seem to get into it. In fairness, I was getting my hair done at the time. Have you read this one?

Wicked and the Wallflower by Sarah MacLean is $1.99! Amazon says this is a “limited time deal,” so I’m unsure when it actually ends. This is the first book in the Bareknuckle Bastards series and the second book is out next month! Readers really enjoyed the dialogue in this one, but caution that it’s a little slow to start.
A C is a weird grade for a book that I read compulsively, especially since I remain very curious about the next one, but while the set up, the action, and the ensemble were a lot of fun to read, the more I thought about it, the more I found myself thinking, “But, wait…” I have a stack of “But, waits” regarding the character development and emotional pivots, and they began to accumulate from about … Continue reading American Witch by Thea Harrison

RECOMMENDED: Dating You/Hating You by Christina Lauren is $2.99! Lauren’s books rarely go on sale, so grab this one while you can. I loved this book and gave it an A-:
If you want the book-form of a great, contemporary rom-com, Dating You/Hating You will scratch that itch. No, not just scratch it. Massage it. A full body, deep-tissue Swedish massage that will leave your bones feeling like jelly, where all you can do is close your eyes and let out a deep, satisfying sigh.

Crosstalk by Connie Willis is $1.99! Carrie is a huge Willis fan, but this one really fell flat for her. She gave it a surprising D+ grade. There is also some great discussion in the comments. However, I’ve heard other readers talk fondly of this book. Which camp are you in?

Sometimes the time between Cover Snarks goes quickly and other times, it feels like ages since the last one. For me, it’s the latter this time. Regardless, enjoy! Amanda: This is not some hokey marriage memoir like I thought. Elyse: I bet that note is about swinging. The more I look at it, the more I think that couple are serial killers. “The secret to our marriage is a murder-pact!” RHG: The Hallmark channel doesn’t … Continue reading Cover Snark: We Need a CSI Team

Dressed to Kiss is $2.99! This is an anthology featuring romances by Madeline Hunter, Caroline Linden, Megan Frampton, and Myretta Robens. Readers love that all four stories have a common connection and seems to be rather well-received on Goodreads.
