RECOMMENDED: Once Upon a Marquess by Courtney Milan is 99c! This is book one in the Worth Saga and I think SBTB has reviewed nearly every recent Milan release. RHG and Carrie did a joint review of this one. It earned an A grade and there was a lot of squeeing.

Sometimes I feel as though its been ages since we did a Cover Snark, and other times I feel like we just did one yesterday. Today is definitely the latter, but I’m not complaining! Amanda: Is he a dog shifter Navy SEAL? Sarah: The dog is the SEAL. That guys is… wearing a christmas tree of belly hair? Is that a merkin? We might end up with a whole cover snark about overlarge dogs CarrieS: … Continue reading Cover Snark: Forever a Santa →
Lovers of Romantic Comedy movies would love this. For a broken, dead inside person like myself it was “eye roll city” and not my favorite but still a fun, quick read. This book’s setup was a doozy of a meet-cute. Hats off to Ms. Fenske. Meg, a caterer and unsuccessful cookbook writer, goes to the hospital to bury the hatchet with her philandering former fiance, Matt, who she had pulled a Runaway Bride on previously. … Continue reading Now That It’s You by Tawna Fenske →
The best adjective I have to describe this book is unmemorable. While I was reading it, I was enjoying it and found it difficult to put down; but now as I sit down to write a review, I am finding it difficult to remember what happened. In the acknowledgements at the end of the book, the author thanks her agent, “for selling this book before I even had a subject in mind, and then for … Continue reading Now That It’s You by Tawna Fenske →

First Touch by Laurelin Paige is $1.99 at Amazon and Kobo! It’s also $2.99 at All Romance. I mentioned in on December’s Hide Your Wallet post. This is definitely on the darker side and does have a cliffhanger. Some readers had trouble connecting with the heroine, but many say this is a book that will grab you and not let go. It has a 4.1-star rating on Goodreads.

RECOMMENDED: Normal by Graeme Cameron is $3.99! Elyse mentioned this in a previous post on Women in Psychological Thrillers and said:
Normal by Graeme Cameron is delightfully weird fun. Told from the perspective of a serial killer who is keeping a woman captive in his basement, we see her through his eyes only. This sounds like it would 1000% squicky and DNW, but Cameron makes his unnamed protagonist, if not likable or emphatic, engaging enough that it’s easy to keep reading.

Go the F**k to Sleep by Adam Mansbach and Ricardo Cortes is $1.99! This book is a hilarious rendition on the the children’s bedtime story. I also highly recommend snagging the audiobook, as it’s narrated by none other than Samuel L. Jackson. Of course, there are some complaints using profanity in something that appears to be a children’s book, but most readers who are parents sympathized with the book’s message.

Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley is 99c! That’s right, less than a dollar! This is a contemporary romance and the second book in the Colorado Mountain series. The heroine moves to a small Colorado town for a fresh start after her husband is caught cheating. Readers adored the hero, Tate, and his transition from grizzled ex-cop to considerate protector. A few reviews on GoodReads also mentioned that Ashley’s writing style took some time to get used it. Sweet Dreams has a 4.4-star rating on GoodReads.
