It has a 3.7 average, and readers at GR liked the humor and the dialogue between the hero and heroine (though some reviews warn of a slow start to the story). Kat Latham also made an appearance in this year’s DABWAHA tournament!

RECOMMENDED: The Marriage Contract by Katee Robert is $3.99! This is an arranged marriage plot in a modern setting, which I would love to see more of! The book does deal with characters in the mob, which I know is a big off-button for some readers, so FYI. Elyse’s review came out today and she gave it an A:
If you had told me that I’d really love a book about the children of two Boston mob bosses being in an arranged marriage, I’d have raised a skeptical eyebrow. But I’m so so glad that The Marriage Contract proved me wrong because I enjoyed it immensely.

Grey by E.L. James is currently 99c at Amazon! Yep. So if you wanted to sip that crazysauce for yourself, $1 is very low risk and possibly very high reward (if you’re playing a drinking game). This book contains peeled ginger root fantasies, conversations with Christian’s cock, and basically to quote Lori, the hot guy opened his mouth and spoke, and ruined everything. RECOMMENDED: Chase Me by Tessa Bailey is $2.99! I’m a little on the fence whether to call this a contemporary romance or a new adult romance, because I feel like the latter is trying to get its footing as a genre. But that’s beside the point. I thought the book was a quick read and it was fun, silly, and emotional at all the right moments. The hero, Louis, is definitely a beta hero, though some of the book’s events seemed a little unnecessary. If I had to assign it a grade, I’d give it a B.

Just One Night by Lauren Layne is 99c! This is a contemporary romance and the third book in Layne’s Sex, Love, and Stilettos series. The heroine plays a sex columnist who has very little experience in the sex department. We’re talking only one, lone sexual experience. And well the hero…he’s now her own personal guinea pig. Readers thought Layne found the right blend between sexy and funny, while some disagreed and found the content more serious than the cover lets on. It has a 3.9-star rating on GoodReads.
