Welcome back, all! We’re quickly approaching three dozen of these. Any time I go to compile Get Rec’d, I wonder if I’ve run out of good recs, but the answer is always nope. Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse is $1.99! This was a highly anticipated release and several of us talked about it on a former Hide Your Wallet. Have you read this one?

I cannot stress enough how new and exciting this book felt. The premise really delivered both in terms of plot and in terms of how fully its implications were explored. The heroine duo was awesome, the queer love was amazing, the prose had me fully in my feels, and I’m still thinking about some of the deeper questions raised by this book several days later.
