Sweet Magnolias Collection: Volume 1 by Sherryl Woods is $2.99! This is the first two books in the small town romance series. It was also made into a Netflix series, which I haven’t watched yet. My brain keeps mixing it up with Steel Magnolias, and I had such a visceral, emotional reaction to that movie that it bleeds over to my impression of Sweet Magnolias.
Barefoot Season by Susan Mallery is 99c! This is the first book in her Blackberry Island series. This particular book is more along the lines of women’s fiction with two childhood friends trying to save their small town’s inn. Readers who like stories about close friendships recommend this and one of the heroines is a veteran who suffers from PTSD. The second book in the series is available for $2.99.
