This story excels in terms of entertaining characters, and I’d love to see a spin-off story about almost every single one of them.
Dukes Are Forever by Anna Harrington is $2.99! This is a historical romance with what seems to be an enemies to lovers plot. It’s the 1st book in the Secret Life of Scoundrels series. Some readers found the heroine a bit TSTL, but others really loved the hero and his quest for revenge. It has a 3.7-star rating on Goodreads.
RECOMMENDED: The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden is $1.99! This fantasy novel has elements of Russian mythology and I made a soothing cocktail for it. The book is whimsical and perfect for the winter, though it can drag at times.
RECOMMENDED: Marrying Winterbourne by Lisa Kleypas is $1.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being price-matched by iBooks. Barnes & Noble also has it on sale for $2.99! Elyse gave it a B- in a Lightning Review, saying it was good but not Kleypas-good:
Marrying Winterborne was a little bit of a disappointment because I expect SO MUCH from a Kleypas novel, but somehow also compulsively readable. It’s the direct sequel to Cold-Hearted Rake and best read after that book in order to provide context.
