Hide Your Wallet is back! This is where we discuss all of the new releases we are so ready to buy this month. While we’ve picked our favorites down below, here are a few other options you might have preordered or put on hold at your library: Sarah MacLean begins a new series with Wicked and the Wallflower . Another new series kicks off with The Start of Something Good by Jennifer Probst . A Thousand Beginnings and Endings is … Continue reading June’s New Releases →

Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh is $1.99! This is the twelfth book in the Psy-Changeling series and was incredibly anticipated when it first came out. If you’re new to the series, you probably don’t want to start with this one. However, if you’re trying to fill up your Singh library, her books are rarely on sale, so grab this one while you can.

RECOMMENDED: The Curse of Lord Stanstead by Mia Marlowe is 99c at most vendors! This is a historical romance with magic and Elyse gave this book a B+:
The Curse of Lord Stanstead is a good fit for readers who are burned out on straight Regency romances and need a dash of spice, or for paranormal readers who are sick of brooding vampires. If The Order of the Muse series follows the usual formula of the second book being stronger than the first, I will be very happy indeed. I already have The Madness of Lord Westfall downloaded on my ereader, ready to go.

I have a startling confession for you. I haven’t read a Nalini Singh novel before. I know, I know. Everyone (including my husband) raves about Singh. I just got really burned out on Paranormal Romance after reading a ton of Laurell K. Hamilton (yes, I know it’s not really romance) and Amanda Ashley because that’s all that was available to me in my local bookstore in the nineties. I didn’t have the moxie yet to … Continue reading Silver Silence by Nalini Singh →

It’s June and time to stock up on some good books for the summer! It’s a lighter month than usual. For me, a majority of my releases come out at the beginning of the month, which feels really overwhelming. And, I think this is the first time where three of us were excited about the same book. But, this is not an exhaustive list. Here are a few other books that are hitting shelves this … Continue reading June’s New Releases →

Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh is $1.99! This is the very first book in the Psy-Changeling series and for many readers, it’s what kicked off their love for Nalini Singh. However, other readers mention that the oomph of the book seemed to wane once the hero and heroine got together. But I personally loved it and the series just gets better and better. Any Psy-Changeling fans out there?

Rock Addiction by Nalini Singh is FREE! Yep, you read that right. It’s currently free at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks. This is a contemporary new adult-ish romance with a librarian heroine and a rockstar hero. Some readers disliked the heroine, but loved the second half of the book, where the couple deals with challenges of being in the spotlight.

While your book budget may have gotten a small break last month, this month is about to do some serious damage. We’ve picked over twenty (twenty!) books that we’re really excited about reading. However, we also know there are some major books coming out this June that are on many readers’ radar: Nalini Signh’s new addition to her Psy-Changeling series, Allegiance of Honor The final book in Kristen Callihan’s Darkest London series, Forevermore Book nine in Naomi Novik’s … Continue reading June’s New Releases →
Tonight at 7pm ET, I’ll be grilling Nalini Singh with difficult questions about math and science (and Psy-changlings) at the Barnes & Noble in East Brunswick, NJ. You can find all the details on the events page! But! If you can’t make it, is there a question you’d like me to ask Nalini on your behalf? I’m happy to include your esoteric questions, or those weird ones that talk about trains leaving opposite stations. (Kidding … Continue reading Reminder: Q&A with Nalini Singh at East Brunswick NJ Barnes & Noble! →

Back to You by Jessica Scott is $1.99 at most vendors! The only exception is All Romance, where it’s a dollar more. Looking at some reviews, this is a deeply emotional contemporary romance between two people trying to save their marriage following the husband’s return from war. It’s the second book in the Coming Home series and has a 4.3-star rating on GR.
