Content warnings for the series: Some pretty graphic violence, some questionable consent around bodily autonomy (but not by the characters we’re supposed to like). We’re dealing with immortal beings here who break ennui by doing ever more extreme things, both sexual and physical, so do be prepared for that. Don’t worry, the characters we’re supposed to like break free from this ennui through love and become ever more humane. … I’m not a huge fan … Continue reading Squee from the Keeper Shelf: Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter Series→
Welcome back to Cover Awe! There’s something slightly new in how we do Cover Awe – the title will be bolded with a link to its SBTB info page where you can find buy links to several retailers. Primal Mirror by Nalini Singh Cover art by Tony Mauro Sarah: I think this is really alluring. This my favorite time of year, when the air gets warmer, the flowers bloom bright, and the books get so extremely gay with the coming of Pride month that my cup runneth all the way over when it comes to choosing what to highlight!

Will They or Won’t They by Ava Wilder is $1.99! This is an enemies to lovers story with two actors who play love interests on-screen. Wilder’s debut How to Fake It in Hollywood had a lot of recommendations on the site, but I think this one isn’t as beloved.
Happy Tuesday! It’s time to talk about a new crop of book releases. There are definitely a couple books that many of us are excited for and we suspect you all are too! I also appreciate everyone’s insight and comments about historical romances last week. Sarah and I may record some sort of podcast segment talking about the lack of historicals, so stay tuned! Silver Silence by Nalini Singh is $1.99! Big thank you to everyone who let us know about this sale and hopefully it’s still valid. This is the start to the first Psy-Changeling Trilogy. If you’re wondering whether you can start here, the answer is yes. Elyse did, though still have some questions, and gave it a B:
I think Silver Silence will be a big hit with readers of the series, and a little less effective with newcomers. I did love the healthy portrayal of an alpha hero, though, and found the world of the bear shifters to be fun and fascinating.
In this week’s podcast episode, we’re looking at the ads and features in the March 2016 issue of Romantic Times, aka RT Book Reviews.
