River’s End by Nora Roberts is $1.99! This is a romantic suspense novel that was originally published in the late-nineties. Readers enjoyed the emotional aspects to the mystery and romance, but others found the logistics of the actual mystery to require some suspension of disbelief.

My Lady Quicksilver by Bec McMaster is 99c! This is the third book in the London Steampunk series. I’m not sure if it can be read as a standalone, so maybe the Bitchery can help with that question. Readers loved the world McMaster created, but some found they didn’t enjoy the main couple as much as previous books. The first book is also on sale for 99c!

RECOMMENDED: Anything for You by Kristan Higgins is $1.99 at Amazon! Since no one is price-matching, the sale could be on its way out. This is book five in the Blue Heron series and has a 4-star rating on Goodreads. Readers seemed to be split regarding the heroine. Some liked her and her aversion to marriage when she doesn’t feel ready. However, others preferred the hero and how he handled their relationship. Have you read this one?

Bound to Be a Groom by Megan Mulry is $2.99! It’s $1.49 at All Romance. This is a historical erotic romance, with F/F, M/M, M/F, and F/F/M/M action. Yep. Something for everyone, though I definitely suggest reading the jacket copy so you can see the division of romance and who’s into whom. There is also a dominant woman paired with a male submissive. I’m also honestly really tempted to buy this for myself. Readers definitely mentioned that the book skewed more toward sex than plot.

The Devil’s Doorbell is an erotic anthology made up of seven stories by authors that I’ve heard of and/or read. The stories are all contemporary but they aren’t really connected, save for the explanation of “the devil’s doorbell.” Each story has some reference to the fact that “the devil’s doorbell” is another term for a woman’s clitoris. We have a pretty interesting trio this week! Elyse reviews an erotic historical with a menage romance and a heroine who dresses like a man. Meanwhile, Carrie tackles a book-themed cookbook that uses meals from literature, and a new comic by author Marjorie M. Liu, who is known for her paranormal romances.

RECOMMENDED: The Siren by Tiffany Reisz is on sale for $1.99. Elyse loves Reisz’s writing and gave this book an A when she reviewed, saying:
The Siren is surprisingly light on sex, but heavy on kink, and it’s the most detailed look into S&M I’ve ever read. It’s also sharp and smart, and incredibly well-written. I normally don’t read a lot of books about S&M because generally I don’t like reading about people in pain. I like steamy contemporaries that feature some spanking or submission (like Rush by Maya Banks) but hardcore pain is typically not my thing. I really liked this book, though. It was like a potato chip book for me. I couldn’t stop at The Siren. I read The Angel ( A | BN | K | ARe ) and The Prince ( A | BN | K | ARe ) immediately after in one big bleary-eyed kink fest. I stopped reading at 3 a.m. because I loved the characters.
