A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole is $3.99! This is the first book in her Reluctant Royals series and this seems to be a series that just keeps getting better with its books. Many readers loved how Alyssa writes consent, agency, and all sorts of other awesome and empowering things. However, some warn that this book takes several chapters to get into the swing of things.
Shrill by Lindy West is $2.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being price-matched. The book does deal with Lindy’s experience with eating, rape culture, and internet trolls, so there’s some pretty heavy stuff. It has a 4.1-star rating on Goodreads.
Never Kiss a Duke by Megan Frampton is $1.99! This is the first book in the Hazards of Dukes series, which released in January. Elyse gave this one a C grade, so your mileage may vary with this romance.
Time’s Convert by Deborah Harkness is $1.99! I believe reading this is most beneficial if you’ve finished the All Souls Trilogy, though correct me if I’m wrong. If it’s the latter, Lara wrote a great post about why the series is such a favorite for her.
The Lady is Daring by Megan Frampton is $1.99! This is part of the Duke’s Daughters series and features a road trip. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like Frampton is an acquired taste. Some readers really love her books, but I’m in the meh camp. Do you have a favorite?
Romancelandia is awash in dukes behaving badly, and the hero in Never Kiss a Duke by Megan Frampton, Sebastian de Silva, was a wonderful departure from that trope.
