What a Lady Requires by Ashlyn Macnamara is 99c! If this cover looks familiar, it’s because we talked about this impeccably placed towel during the podcast we recorded at RT Booklover’s. The hero is in debt to a wine merchant. To clear said debt, he agrees to marry the merchant’s daughter. As one does. She gets the hero’s social influence and the hero whittles down his debts. While readers loved the dialogue and tension between the characters, some felt the romantic emotion/passion between them to be a little lacking. It has a 4-star rating on Goodreads.

The set includes your standard fare of werewolves and vampire, but also has stories with fey, dragons, and ghosts. There’s something for everyone, which is totally in the spirit of the holidays. Some GR reviewers are saying it’s one of the best holiday anthologies that they’ve read, while a few said there were only a small handful of stories out of the collection that they liked. It has a 4.1-star rating on GR.
