I don’t typically group books by theme for these things, but it’s always funny when a theme emerges from randomly putting book covers together. Cover art by Sudeepti Tucker Amanda: I love this damn color palette so much. And also #hairgoals. Shana: Damn. What a beauty! I love the colors and their coy glances Sneezy: Oof!!! The coziness!!!! The sexual tension!!!! Sarah: This is an excellent cover. So much tension, so much casual intimacy. Elyse: … Continue reading Cover Awe: Pretty in Pink →

A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole is $1.99! This is the first book in her Reluctant Royals series and this seems to be a series that just keeps getting better with its books. Many readers loved how Alyssa writes consent, agency, and all sorts of other awesome and empowering things. However, some warn that this book takes several chapters to get into the swing of things.

Cinder by Marissa Meyer is $2.99! This is the first book in the Lunar Chronicles series. Set in New Beijing, a fictional world of the future, Cinder is influenced by several fairy tales, so if you’re a sucker for retellings, you may want to give this is a try. I love the cover redesigns and bought them all when they came out.

James returns to her Fifty Shades series with Darker . Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series is still going … Continue reading November’s New Releases →

Cinder by Marissa Meyer is $2.99! It’s a Kindle Daily Deal today and is being price-matched. This is the first book in the Lunar Chronicles series. Set in New Beijing, a fictional world of the future, Cinder is influenced by several fairy tales, so if you’re a sucker for retellings, you may want to give this is a try. The first book does end on a cliffhanger, but the next one is on sale! The original, scifi setting really shines according to readers, though the “plot twists” are a little predictable. It has a 4.1-star rating on GoodReads.

It’s November! And holy heck where has 2016 gone? Not that I’m complaining, because it’s been a slight trash fire, but at least that means more books on the horizon. Before we get to what we’re really pumped for, below are some popular titles that we know will be on many TBR piles: Stephanie Plum is back to her old adventures in Turbo Twenty Three Zadie Smith is out with a new novel, titled Swing Time For … Continue reading November’s New Releases →

Ivy and Bean by Annie Barrows and Sophie Blackall is less than $3 at most vendors! Prices seem to fluctuate depending on the site, but the typical ebook edition runs around $5. Amazon has it for 99c, Google:Play has it for $1.30, and Barnes & Noble and All Romance has it for $2.99! I’ve heard such great things about this series from my friends who work in children’s publishing. This is more along the lines of middle grade fiction than young adult or a picture book.
