A Lot Like Love by Julie James is $1.99! Thanks to everyone who told us about this one! James is always recommended for readers who want a contemporary romance with competence porn. I remember reading this one and I loved that the heroine owns a wine store. However, some readers felt that the characters weren’t as engaging as in other James’ books.
Peg and Rose Solve a Murder by Laurien Berenson is $2.99! I mentioned this on a previous edition of Get Rec’d. If you’re on the “senior sleuths” train, maybe pick this one up!

This book is grounded in good detail and good characters who undergo believable and meaningful arcs, but it’s basically the warm fuzzy socks of the book world – super comfortable and comforting, completely non-demanding, and not challenging in any way.
