RECOMMENDED: Last Night with the Earl by Kelly Bowen is $1.99! This is the second book in the Devils of Dover series, but can be read out of order (I did). The other books are also on sale. I hope Bowen comes back to historical romance. I so loved this book and gave it an A-.
For readers who love slow burn historicals that have a focus on emotional healing, I can’t push this into your hands or onto your e-readers fast enough.

Lake Silence by Anne Bishop is $2.99! I’m unsure if this is a limited time sale leftover from yesterday. According to Amazon this is book one in a spin-off from Bishop’s The Others series. I’m sure some knowledge would be helpful here, but would love some comments below if you’ve read it!

RECOMMENDED: Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes is $2.99! We have a lovely guest squee for this one:
This is the perfect breezy summer read. It is also the perfect fresh spring read, the perfect crisp fall read, and the perfect cozy winter read. I hope I’ve adequately conveyed that I have so many feelings about this delightful book – and they are all good.

RECOMMENDED: The Book of Koli by M.R. Carey is $2.99! This is the first book in a new trilogy. Carrie read this one and had this to say on a previous Hide Your Wallet:
Character driven and imaginative. Will never regard a tree in the same way again.

Luna and the Lie by Mariana Zapata is 99c at Amazon! She is an auto-buy author for many who love a slow burn romances and her books are pretty long. This one seems to clock out at 600+ pages. I’m personally iffy on Zapata’s books as the two I tried had some major slut shaming. Should I give them another chance?

The second HYW will cover books released from the 15th to the end of the month. We also think this … Continue reading April’s New Releases, Part One →

RECOMMENDED: The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker is $1.99! This is a fantasy historical and reader favorite. Carrie reviewed this book in June 2013 and really liked it. She says it doesn’t have romance as its primary plot, but it’s a beautiful read:
I loved this book, but not so much for the love story. I loved the mythologies, the settings, and the characters. The neighborhoods were incredibly detailed and vivid and interesting. The cultural and religious communities felt real and fascinating. I love books that let me see into another world, and this book gave me that feeling many times. The characters were all mesmerizing. I felt like I was in each setting, meeting these real people.

RECOMMENDED: Graceling by Kristin Cashore is $1.99 at select vendors! This is also a Kindle Daily Deal. This is a YA fantasy novel with romantic elements and I LOVED it. The entire series is pretty great, to be honest. The heroine is strong and all sorts of badass, but she’s also trying to cope with being a hired killer for the king. Also check out the other KDDs for today, which include more romance and Wolf Hall.
