The Hot Shot by Kristen Callihan is 99c at Amazon! What the heck price-matching! This is the fourth book in the Game On series. I, for one, love Callihan’s writing, and the previous book in the series, The Game Plan, is one of my favorites. However, reviewers say the second half of this one is full of lots of drama and angst.
PODCAST RECOMMENDED: Take the Lead by Alexis Daria is $1.99! This is a contemporary romance that takes place on a dancing competition TV show. There’s also a gruff hero! If those things haven’t convinced you yet, Sonali Dev also recommended it on a previous podcast episode.

RECOMMENDED: Whiskey Beach by Nora Roberts is $1.99! This is a standalone romantic suspense. I know Elyse frequently turns to Roberts’ books for comfort or to help get out of a slump. However, some found this book rather boring and wouldn’t recommend the audio version. Have you read this one?
The Sapphire Affair by Lauren Blakely is 99c! This is a romantic suspense that Elyse mentioned on July’s Hide Your Wallet as the start of a new series she was excited about. Many readers loved the mix of adventure and romance, while others said it takes a bit for the hero and heroine to initially meet. The sequel, following the same characters, is also on sale!
Seven Minutes in Heaven by Eloisa James is $1.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being price-matched at Barnes & Noble. Check out the other deals today! Carrie read this one and it earned a B grade:
Seven Minutes in Heaven is written with Eloisa James’ customary wit and charm. It’s an enchanting book with one major caveat – the main conflict could have been resolved in Chapter One if people just spoke clearly. I’m not a fan of stories that revolve around a misunderstanding. Still, I enjoyed it because the writing is so good and the characters so delightful.
Dreaming of You by Lisa Kleypas is $2.99! This is book two of the Gamblers of Craven’s series and is a lot of readers’ favorites on account of the hero, Derek Craven. However, some felt the heroine came across as a Mary Sue or “not like other women.” Which camp are you in?
Baron by Joanna Shupe is 99c! This is the second book in the Knickerbocker Club series, which Redheadedgirl really enjoyed. Readers really liked the con artist heroine, but found that Baron wasn’t as good as the first book, Magnate. It has a 4-star rating on Goodreads. Any fans of the series out there?

RECOMMENDED: Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Córdova is $1.99! Sarah read this book a couple months ago and gave it a B grade:
Overall, I think this book contains a fabulous world with a terrific, galloping adventure through a vivid and wrenching underworld. While I was reading it, I had a hard time putting it down. But the story has most of its strength in the plot and the world-building than in the characters and their emotional development and consistency, and I missed those aspects even while I enjoyed the rest.
RECOMMENDED: Passenger by Alexandra Bracken is $3.99! This is a time travel, YA romance and Elyse loved it. She gave it an A grade, but warns of a big cliffhanger:
I loved this book. I loved it so hard my teeth hurt. I could have used a little more historical detail in Cambodia and Damascus (Paris is kind of a pass-through), but so much action was happening there wasn’t a ton of time for it. Part of the reason this book is so unputdownable is that it never stops for the reader to catch her breath. Once Nick and Etta’s quest gets rolling, it’s a great big chase scene throughout history will no pauses.
