Some readers felt the romance was predictable and just sort of meh, while others really loved how Higgins handled the second chance/reunited exes trope. This book had a good balance of revealing the mystery, introducing the town and the way of life in the Cotswolds, and allowing Noelle to figure things out at a pace that was interesting for the reader and didn’t make Noelle look like an idiot. If anything, she was very smart and emotionally savvy, and navigating grief and family secrets is exhausting for anyone.
In Your Dreams by Kristan Higgins is $1.99! This is a wintry contemporary romance and I have to say that I just love this cover. It’s cute and cozy and I want that dog. This is the fourth book in the Blue Heron series and has the heroine taking the hero as her date to her ex-fiance’s wedding. Fans of the series love this latest installment, saying that the books just keep getting better. For some readers, the book felt too short, as did the romance. It has a 4-star rating on GR.
