Books on Sale: The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole & More

The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole is $1.99! There is some contention about whether this is the true first book of the series or if it’s more like 0.5 in the series because of its shorter length. If I remember correctly, the story was actually in an anthology first and, truthfully, you can read the other books without having read this one. I am such a fan of this series, but it’s very early 2000s PNR flair. The most recently in the series, Wicked Abyss, which is my favorite so far is also on sale.

Books on Sale: Beginner’s Guide: Love and Other Chemical Reactions by Six de los Reyes & More

RECOMMENDED: Beginner’s Guide: Love and Other Chemical Reactions by Six de los Reyes is 99c at Amazon! Sarah enjoyed this nerdy romance and gave it a B:

Seriously, if you love science and experiments and science nerdery, you’ll probably really like this book. Much of the story is about Kaya’s journey from accepting herself to appreciating herself, and her growth from keeping a massive distance between her thoughts and her emotions to learning how to relate them to one another, and to take the risks involved in engaging with other people.

Scifi, Fantasy, & Paranormal Romance

Books on Sale: Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel & More

RECOMMENDEDSleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel is $1.99! It’s a scifi novel with a female protagonist. Readers say that though this scifi is a little darker and less “feel good,” the loved it. However, some felt a bulk of the book was just setup and information dumping for the next book. It has a 3.8-star rating on Goodreads. Elyse enjoyed this one and I really loved the audiobook.

There are also a few other books coming out this month that are on readers’ radars, even though they didn’t make it onto our personal lists: The next installment in Kresley Cole’s YA series – Arcana Rising  Mary … Continue reading August’s New Releases

Contemporary and Erotic Romances on Sale!

Books on Sale: The Professional by Kresley Cole & More

RECOMMENDED: The Professional by Kresley Cole is $1.99 and the first in her Game Maker erotic romance series! Which is somewhat of a big deal since her books are rarely discounted. I read this book and gave it a B-, but your enjoyment of it probably hinges on how committed you are to the crazyness of it. The second book, The Master, is also on sale, but I did not enjoy that one nearly as much. Be warned that the characters are tied to organized crime, which I know is off-putting to some readers.
