Welcome back! For me, I think things are best described as busy, but boring. My wedding dress has officially been dropped off for alterations, our household is obsessed with Hades II, and I’m already eager for winter vacation. The tourism in my area is about to hit its peak and I don’t love it. That being said, October is absolutely flying. Does anyone else feel the same way? Anything exciting on your calendar or are you in … Continue reading Links: Quilt Shows, Kresley Cole, & More→
The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley is $4.99 and a Kindle Daily Deal! This was mentioned in Hide Your Wallet and I’ve seen it namedropped in the comments, though readers caution that it isn’t really a romance. What are your thoughts?
Lady Scandal by Laura Lee Guhrke is $2.99! This is book two in the Scandal at the Savoy historical romance series and it came out over the summer. There’s no obvious nobility, if that’s your catnip. Book one, Bookshop Cinderella, was on sale in September if you grabbed that one and are looking to stay current.

The combination of personal catnip with descriptive language and complex characterization is spot on. I recommend this for fans of vocal feminism, found family, angst, and explicit sex in their historicals. I plan to read my copy many, many times!
The Friendship Study by Ruby Barrett is $2.99! This was mentioned in both Hide Your Wallet and Dahlia’s monthly roundup of queer romances. Did any of you pick this up?
Out of Character by Annabeth Albert is $1.99! This is part of the True Colors series and features all sorts of nerdery and fandom culture, if you like that in your romances. I’ve heard this series skews a little more toward New Adult. Thoughts?
A Rulebook for Restless Rogues by Jess Everlee is $1.99! This is book two in the Lucky Lovers of London series and it was mentioned last summer in Dahlia’s Queer Romance Round-Up for July.
Hide those wallets because March is ending with a bang! On average, I feel like we have 6-7 books between all of us that we’re looking forward to in a release week. This week, we’re at eleven! And the start of April is looking equally as busy. What new releases are you excited for this week? Let us know in the comments!
Forget Met Not by Julie Soto is $3.99! This is a contemporary romance debut and I mentioned this one on a previous Hide Your Wallet. I liked this one! The book does switch between past and current events to show more of the main couple’s previous history, but I understand it could be a jarring format for the reader.
In this week’s podcast episode, we’re looking at the ads and features in the April 2006 issue of Romantic Times, aka RT Book Reviews.
