Year One by Nora Roberts is $2.99! This book released in December of 2017 and has some paranormal/dystopian elements. Be warned though that the romantic elements aren’t as strong in this book, but it’s likely to develop more in future books. The rest of today’s Kindle Daily Deals include cookbooks, Tolkien, and more.

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab is $1.99 at Amazon! Unfortunately, this is a Kindle Daily Deal and isn’t being price-matched just yet. I know several people (my roommate included) who love Schwab’s writing and essentially will read anything she publishes. But while the description seems really original, some readers were disappointed by how generic it was. Have you read this one? Let us know what you think in the comments!

RECOMMENDED: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell is $2.99! I believe this is a Kindle Daily Deal that’s being price matched elsewhere. Sarah reviewed this book and gave it an A-:
The TL;DR: this book is wonderful. It’s so much empathy and understanding and emotion layered into narrative form I can’t even tell you.

RECOMMENDED: The Highwayman by Kerrigan Byrne is $2.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and so far, it isn’t being price-matched. Redheadedgirl grabbed this at RT 2015 when it was held in Dallas. She reviewed it and gave it an A-:
What I liked best about this book was the liberal use of crazysauce. It’s a melodramatic tale of a broken man healed by the love of a good woman, and the good woman that’s strong enough to love this man and bring him back into the world. When he proposed the marriage idea, she’s like “Fine, but I want a baby so that’s my condition,” and he’s like, “but I don’t touch people so I didn’t really think this through,” “fine, then I’ll take a lover.” “I. WILL. KILL. HIM….”
“That’s not very solution-oriented.” (Actual quote!)

RECOMMENDED: Nuts by Alice Clayton is $1.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and only available on Amazon right now. Clayton’s books are rarely discounted, so grab this while you can! This is the first book in the Hudson Valley series and I really love this series. It’s funny and sexy and has so many delicious foodie elements. It’s over the top and I love the heroine, though I’ll admit the circumstances that send her back to her hometown are a little silly.

RECOMMENDED: Feed by Mira Grant is $2.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being price-matched. Yay! This is one of my favorite books, and as someone with a younger brother, I had such a connection to the brother/sister main characters. I laughed. I cried like a baby. I was on the edge of my seat. If you like thrillers, zombies, dystopian stories, political intrigue or any of those combined, you’ll like this book. Feel free to comment below on why you loved (or maybe even hated) this book.

Season of Storms by Susanna Kearsley is a Kindle Daily Deal today at $1.99, and it’s being price matched at Barnes & Noble and iBooks – woo hoo! Kearsley’s books are usually over $9 in ebook format, so seeing them on sale is always nice. This book was originally published in 2001, and is a historical/contemporary time slip romance – Kearsley’s specialty – featuring the descendants of a composer and his muse, who mysteriously disappeared and was never heard from again. It has a 3.6-star average on GoodReads.

RECOMMENDED: The Captive by Grace Burrowes is $1.99 at Amazon! This is a historical romance and the first book in the Captive Hearts series. Redheadedgirl read this last summer and gave the book a B-:
I’ve read a few things by Grace Burrows- The Duke’s Obsession books, for example – and I liked them and all. I thought that Burrowes’ great weakness was characters not worrying overmuch about period social mores (The heir to a dukedom marrying his housekeeper, for example) but I love how she draws characters. This is no exception- the plot is, well, it’s there, but the characters are what kept me up late to keep reading.

Grey by E.L. James is currently 99c at Amazon! Yep. So if you wanted to sip that crazysauce for yourself, $1 is very low risk and possibly very high reward (if you’re playing a drinking game). This book contains peeled ginger root fantasies, conversations with Christian’s cock, and basically to quote Lori, the hot guy opened his mouth and spoke, and ruined everything. Sarah recapped some of the worst lines from the beginning chapters. And we had not one, but two reviews! One from Redheadedgirl and a guest review from reader Gloriamarie.
