A Scandalous Deal by Joanna Shupe is $1.99! This is an American historical romance with workplace elements. This is the second book in The Four Hundred series and the next one, A Notorious Vow, is a major favorite and comfort read for me. Are you a fan of the series?

This book succeeds because Sofia is so delightful. She’s devout but she sneaks cigarettes sometimes (often, actually). She’s smart and funny, but also young and uncertain. She makes a lot of mistakes but she’s always trying to do the right thing. She loves her family and they love her. Her voice is distinctive and endearing.
A Shocking Delight by Jo Beverly is $1.99! This is the fifteenth book in the Company of Rogues series, and the hero in this one is a character who showed up in previous books. So this may be a situation where it can be read as a standalone, but you might get a deeper reading experience if you’ve read the other books. What do you think?
