RECOMMENDED: One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston is $2.99! Carrie and Tara did a joint review of this one and gave it a Squee grade:
Tara: I cannot recommend One Last Stop enough. It’s funny, it’s sexy, and it gives me all the feels.
Carrie: So much this! The book is fun, sexy, serious and comical, and deeply intersectional.

Count Your Lucky Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur is $2.99! Tara was excited about this one, but ultimately gave it a C:
Thankfully the epilogue is so far past the main events of the book that I can actually entertain the idea of their HEA, because whoooo, do Margot and Olivia ever need time to work on their communication skills.

RECOMMENDED: Diablo Lake: Moonstruck by Lauren Dane is $1.99! Sarah reviewed this one and thought it was a great start to the series. Here are some of her thoughts:
This paranormal small Southern town of shifters and witches and rival pack tensions between the Dooleys and Pembrys is immersively fun, sexy, and thoughtful. Bonus points: witches AND vivid, loving female friendships.

(Also, vote in local elections when you can!) … If you’ve enjoyed books by Simone St. James, she has some recommendations for you on where you can get more haunted … Continue reading Links: Scary Places, Paper Dolls, & More →
Are you tired of reading about the same old straight, White vampires? Well, then good news! Because Vampires Never Get Old delivers 11 short stories that bring fresh takes on vampires. If you’ve been looking for queer vampires, or Black or Brown rep in your fanged fiction, this is definitely the book for you (and also maybe for the kiddo in your life, if you have any that are YA readers). Tara: This is a … Continue reading Vampires Never Get Old edited by Zoraida Cordova and Natalie C. Parker →
On the first read, I very much enjoyed Faith, a YA about a plus-size superhero who loves animals, her two best friends, her grandma, and fictional TV show The Grove, not necessarily in that order. Unfortunately, as soon as I tried applying thought to the book, it failed to make any sense. There’s a f/f romance, but this book is the first in a planned duology, so expect an inconclusive ending, and expect minimal superheroics … Continue reading Faith: Taking Flight by Julie Murphy →

RECOMMENDED: Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy is 99c! I highly recommend this book, especially if you love Dolly Parton. It’s funny and emotional, and the struggles Willowdean faces as a “self-proclaimed fat girl” will relate to many who suffered from those awkward teen years. Seriously, get this book. And the Netflix adaptation is fantastic, if you need something to watch right now.

The Chase by Elle Kennedy is 99c! This is the first book in the new adult Briar U contemporary romance series. This technically a spin-off of the Off-Campus series and features secondary characters getting their own HEAs, but you don’t have to read the previous series for this. Have you read this one?
