RECOMMENDED: Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik is $2.99! This is a sci-fi romance and I absolutely loved it. Be warned that it does have a bit of a pushy alpha hero. You can read my A- here:
I am so incredibly happy that this book is in the world, especially after feeling like I’ve exhausted all my sci-fi romance options. Polaris Rising is exciting. It’s funny. It’s fan-fucking-tastic. My quibbles are minor in comparison to the joyful Good Book Noises I made while reading this.

RECOMMENDED: Aurora Blazing by Jessie Mihalik is $1.99! If you’re collecting the series and picked up the third book, this is a great deal. It’s the second book in a sci-fi romance series I love, but you can jump in here without reading the first. I gave it a B+:
If you’re part of the “Slow Burn Just Kiss Already Dammit” club, though, you’ll be white-knuckling this one.

Beauty Tempts the Beast by Lorraine Heath is $1.99! This is part of the Sins for All Seasons historical romance series and we recently discussed this one on Cover Awe. It also features one of my favorite tropes: “seduction lessons” though I have a particular weakness for it being flipped, with the heroine being the teacher. If you have any recs for that, let me know below!

I think if you have enjoyed the series overall this is a worthwhile read, but I wish my expectations had not been so high coming off the second book.

Note: spoilers for the first two books in the Consortium Rebellion series follow. The third book in the sci-fi romance Consortium Rebellion series, Chaos Reigning, follows the baby of the powerful von Hasenberg family, Catarina (or Cat for short) in her quest to root out any remaining culprits in the kidnapping of her eldest brother, Ferdinand. I liked the first book in the Consortium Rebellion series and I loved the second book, so my hopes … Continue reading Chaos Reigning by Jessie Mihalik →

RECOMMENDED: Sapphire Flames by Ilona Andrews is $2.99! This is not a drill! Many of us romance readers can’t recommend this series or this author enough. You can pick this one up without read the story arc of the previous three, but why would you want to deprive yourself of Ilona Andrews goodness.
