RECOMMENDED: The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman is $2.99! This mystery was one of Sarah’s favorite reads of 2023. There’s also a Netflix adaption due out this year and I’ve very curious!

How You Get the Girl by Anita Kelly is $2.99! This is book three in the Nashville Love series and it was released in February! Many readers of the Bitchery have enjoyed Kelly’s queer contemporaries.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: A Lady for a Duke by Alexis Hall is $1.99! Shana reviewed this one and gave it a Squee grade:
Many of the book’s themes are around friendship–loving a friend but hiding parts of yourself, learning to connect with other women, and the perils of competitive friendships. I loved A Lady for a Duke, it’s a must-read for historical romance fans looking for a new take on Regency friends-to-lovers.

Not Your Average Hot Guy by Gwenda Bond is $2.99! This is the first book in a series of paranormal rom-coms. I remember a lot of people being curious about this one (myself included), but it seems like it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

RECOMMENDED: It Happened One Autumn by Lisa Kleypas is $1.99! This is book two in the Wallflowers series and is my favorite of the bunch. I have a weakness for brash meets stuffy pairings!

Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson is $2.99! We’ve reviewed another one of Lawson’s books on the site and her writing comes highly recommended. Lawson has a knack for addressing tough subjects with an approachable, humorous voice. Are you a fan of Lawson’s blog? Have you read any of her books?

Broken by Jenny Lawson is $2.99! A couple of use here at SBTB have really loved Lawsons’ previous two memoir collections and this is her third, which came out this April. Humor can certainly be subjective. If you’re tempted by this one, but are unsure if her voice will work for you, she has a long-running blog: The Bloggess.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: An Extraordinary Union by Alyssa Cole is $2.99 at Amazon! This could expire ASAP. Simply put, GET THIS BOOK. Sarah completely loved it:
First, yes, you should absolutely read this book immediately, if you haven’t already. There is so much happening in the conflict within each of the protagonists, between the protagonists, and around them and their allies and enemies, I can’t possibly discuss all of it, but please know: if you are a reader (and why else would you be here, right?) this book is a marvelous, intelligent, respectful, breathtaking treat for your brain.
