Borrowed Souls by Chelsea Mueller is $1.99! I thought this urban fantasy was incredibly original, though it does suffer from your typical first-book-in-an-urban-fantasy growing pains. But I really loved the heroine!

The Five by Hallie Rubenhold is $2.99 at Amazon! This may be a leftover KDD from the week that’s going to expire soon. Elyse was incredibly excited about this one and mentioned is a few times on the site podcast. I swore she wrote a review, but I think I’m confusing this one with another book about Jack the Ripper.

Insert Groom Here by K.M. Jackson is 99c! This is book one in the Unconventional Brides series. Readers recommend this one if you prefer your contemporaries more on the romantic comedy side. However, others felt it was bogged down by too many internal monologues. Have you read this one?

RECOMMENDED: The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker is $1.99! This is a fantasy historical and reader favorite. Carrie reviewed this book in June 2013 and really liked it. She says it doesn’t have romance as its primary plot, but it’s a beautiful read:
I loved this book, but not so much for the love story. I loved the mythologies, the settings, and the characters. The neighborhoods were incredibly detailed and vivid and interesting. The cultural and religious communities felt real and fascinating. I love books that let me see into another world, and this book gave me that feeling many times. The characters were all mesmerizing. I felt like I was in each setting, meeting these real people.

He’s So Fine by Jill Shalvis is $1.99! This is book 11 in the Lucky Harbor series, starring a woman hiding her past behind a new identity, and a hot dude – look, there’s always a hot dude – charter boat captain. The Lucky Harbor series is organized into trilogies, and this trilogy is focused on the charter boats in the harbor.
This book has a 4+ star average, and readers who liked it said they laughed harder reading this book than the others in the series.
