The Dukes of Vauxhall is 99c! This is a historical romance anthology with four novellas. All of the romances take place simultaneously and readers say the authors did a great job keeping the continuity straight. RECOMMENDED: The Ones Who Got Away by Roni Loren is $2.99! This romance came out in January and I really enjoyed it and its portrayal of people living with trauma. I gave it a B+, but as it deals with victims of gun violence, I completely understand why readers may want to avoid it.
If the subject matter doesn’t scare you off and your catnip is friends to lovers, slow burn-y goodness, The Ones Who Got Away is highly worth the read.
RECOMMENDED: Amberlough by Lara Elena Donnelly is $2.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal, so if you missed the sale a couple months ago, you have a second chance. Carrie read this one and really loved it, giving it an A. However, she warns of a cliffhanger, which means you might want to get the next book ASAP.

Nothing Like a Duke by Jane Ashford is $1.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is currently being price-matched. Redheadedgirl picked this one for a previous Hide Your Wallet since she’s enjoyed the series thus far. Readers said there’s some great banter in the book, but wished the plot and conflict had a bit more oomph.
Borrowed Souls by Chelsea Mueller is $1.99! I have it on good authority that this sale will only last until Thursday, so get it while you can. I thought this urban fantasy was incredibly original, though it does suffer from your typical first-book-in-an-urban-fantasy growing pains. But I really loved the heroine!

Dukes Prefer Blondes is a book with irresistible characters, a great plot, and tons of witty banter. Y’all know how dearly I love a battle of wits, and this couple just never slows down on the battlefront. It would be A+ material if not for the extremely odd construction. It feels like this book is one draft short of finished, and also like it’s two books crammed into one.
