RECOMMENDED: Well Played by Jen DeLuca is $1.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal. Carrie gave this a B+ in a Lightning Review:
This is a gentle and obvious Cyrano de Bergerac story with very little conflict.

Archangel’s Sun by Nalini Singh is $1.99! This is part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals and was released recently. This is book thirteen in the Guild Hunter series, which I think should probably be read in order.

The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang is $1.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal, which features a ton of awesome scifi and fantasy! I will warn that this fantasy novel is very graphic: sexual violence, atrocious warcrimes, self-harm, etc. If you’re able to read about those things, I highly recommend picking this one up. It’s a fantastic debut.

An Untamed State by Roxane Gay is $1.99! This is a highly recommended piece of contemporary fiction. It’s harrowing and emotional as it chronicles a woman’s kidnapping, rescue, and recovery. This is Gay’s debut novel and there are definitely some trigger warnings for this book. For those who have read it, what did you think?

Sleepless in Manhattan by Sarah Morgan is 99c! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being matched elsewhere. Yay! This is the first book in a new series and readers loved how fun it was and note there’s some pretty great female friendships. However, others mention slow pacing and the lackluster chemistry between the hero and heroine.

RECOMMENDED: Asking for It by Lilah Pace is $4.99! If you’ve visited the site in the last 48 hours, you might have noticed a certain book buzzing about. You can catch my joint review with Redheadedgirl, where we gave the book an A-, and feel free to read my interview with the author. There’s also a giveaway with the interview, if you wanted to take your chances. I should definitely say that this book deserves a TRIGGER WARNING for sexual assault and rape.
