RECOMMENDED: Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson is $2.99! It’s a Kindle Daily Deal and is being price-matched. Elyse loved this book and how it helped her deal with chronic pain. She gave it an A:
Furiously Happy is a rare book, a combination of ridiculous humor and poignant reflection. I think anyone who has suffered from a stigmatized illness will identify with Lawson’s honest, sometimes heartbreaking, description of her own pain. =
RECOMMENDED: Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews is $1.99! Burn for Me is the first book in the Hidden Legacy series, and is an urban fantasy/billionaire romance with magic and suspense. We had a great guest squee on the entire series and I can definitely confirm the books are amazing! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being price-matched.
Clean Sweep by Ilona Andrews is 99c! This is part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals and there are some other romances included. I’ve heard good things about this book and it has a mix of scifi and paranormal elements, and I really don’t know why I’m dragging my feet on reading this series. Have you read it and how does it compare to Kate Daniels and Hidden Legacy?

The Spymaster’s Lady by Joanna Bourne is $2.99! This book has been recommended in five (FIVE!) podcast episodes, and is often attributed to being readers’ first foray into romance. Have you read it? What’d you think?
Welcome to Lit Wicks! This is where we pair an author’s backlist with candles to really immerse yourself in the reading experience. All of the candles featured in these post are from Etsy, which means there is often worldwide shipping and that you’re supporting independent crafters and sellers. The Etsy candle rabbit hole is one I have gone down many times. For June, I’m pairing candles with the series of one of my favorite authors, … Continue reading Lit Wicks: Ilona Andrews→
Hide Your Wallet is back! This is where we discuss all of the new releases we are so ready to buy this month. While we’ve picked our favorites down below, here are a few other options you might have preordered or put on hold at your library: Sarah MacLean begins a new series with Wicked and the Wallflower . Another new series kicks off with The Start of Something Good by Jennifer Probst . A Thousand Beginnings and Endings is … Continue reading June’s New Releases→
Happy Wednesday! I think I can officially say that Spring has sprung in New England, but I also don’t want to jinx it. Are you enjoying a break in some bad weather? Let’s get to some links! … Last year, historical romance author, Miranda Neville passed away. In her honor, her family would like to a establish a memorial fund. The fund would go toward one of Neville’s favorite libraries and would help said library … Continue reading Links: Lesbian Romance, Ilona Andrews, & a GoFundMe→
On the Edge by Ilona Andrews is 99c at Amazon and $2.99 elsewhere! This is the first book in The Edge urban fantasy series and, I think, it’s the only series I haven’t read by Andrews. As usual for Andrews, the worldbuilding is great, though some readers said it took them longer to connect with the characters than in Andrews other series.
RECOMMENDED: Wildfire by Ilona Andrews is $1.99! This is the third (and final?) book in the Hidden Legacy series and trust me, this series is amazing. I’m hoping this isn’t the last time I get to visit this world. I wouldn’t suggest reading this without reading the ones before it, though the first book is often on sale. You may have already picked it!
