I love this book. It does take you down into the darkness at times, but it leads you out again, and shows you the path so that you will be able to find it next time. It is sweet and sharp and clever and extremely funny and it left me with a happy sigh and a smile on my face.
RECOMMENDED: Moon Called by Patricia Briggs is $1.99! This is the first book in the Mercy Thompson urban fantasy series and I really loved this book. Admittedly, I’m not caught up in the series and have only read the first three or four books, so maybe someone can add some thoughts on how the series unfolds, whether good or bad. Many people love the heroine because she’s a bit of a badass. However, some people feel like the first book is a little slow.
Trust the Focus by Megan Erickson is 99c! This is a M/M new adult romance was a DABWAHA nominee this year and was mentioned on a previous podcast with Joyfully Jay. This is also a road trip, friends-to-lovers romance! Readers say the romance is touching and emotional, though some felt it was more YA than NA. It has a 4.1-star rating on Goodreads.
