Under Her Skin by Adriana Anders is 99c! Readers warn that this is a contemporary romance on the darker side, but many say this is a great debut by Anders. I actually bought this when it was last on sale and was thrilled to see it out in the wild at my local independent bookstore. If you missed out on the sale last time, you’re in luck!
Indiscreet by Mary Balogh is $2.99! This is the first book in the Horseman Trilogy. Readers call this a “fluffy Regency” and found the romance to be pretty darn sweet. However, sound found the romance a bit slow going at times. This is also a rerelease, as the original book was published in 1997.
Dressed to Kiss is $2.99! This is an anthology featuring romances by Madeline Hunter, Caroline Linden, Megan Frampton, and Myretta Robens. Readers love that all four stories have a common connection and seems to be rather well-received on Goodreads.
Ravished by Amanda Quick is $1.99! This is a historical romance with some Beauty and the Beast vibes, which many readers loved. However, other readers felt the heroine’s characterization was a bit inconsistent with constant mood changes. It has a 4-star rating on Goodreads. Have you read this one?
Even Odds by Elia Winters is $1.99! I’m not sure if this is the sale price or standard price, but it just came out today. I also mentioned it on this month’s Hide Your Wallet post! Early reviews of the book say that readers loved the setting of the gaming industry, but found the hero and heroine lacked chemistry. Any takers?
The Rogue Not Taken by Sarah MacLean is $2.99 right now. This is book 1 in the Scandal & Scoundrel series, and book 2, A Scot in the Dark, comes out 30 August 2016. Elyse reviewed this book and gave it an A, saying,
Let me start by saying that The Rogue Not Taken by Sarah MacLean is my favorite book of hers to date. If you’ve read her, or know me, then you know that I just said a thing.

This historical romance is the second book in An American Heiress in London series.Featuring a marriage of convenience, our heroine only agrees to marry the hero because he’ll be living his life out on another continent, until a near death experience brings him back home. Readers do give a trigger warning for rape and abuse, which divided many reviews. It has a 3.8-star rating on Goodreads. The first book, When the Marquess Met His Match, is also on sale!
RECOMMENDED: The Legend of Lyon Redmond by Julie Anne Long is $1.99 at select vendors! This is book eleven in the Pennyroyal Green series and Elyse gave it an A:
It’s fine to read The Legend of Lyon Redmond as a stand alone, but it won’t have as much impact without reading the earlier books in the series. Of course, that means I’m giving you a great excuse to buy a lot of books. For Pennyroyal fans who have been holding out for this one? You won’t be disappointed.
The Beautiful Ashes by Jeaniene Frost is a Kindle Daily Deal for 99c! This is the first book in her new Broken Destiny series, which is a New Adult paranormal romance/urban fantasy. Some readers mentioned having some confusion as they weren’t sure if Frost was trying to write something similar to New Adult, young adult, or a straight adult urban fantasy. However, others thought the blend of action and suspense balanced well with the romantic aspects. I’m sure some Bitchery members have read this one. What do you think?
