Books on Sale: Under Her Skin by Adriana Anders & More

Under Her Skin by Adriana Anders is 99c! Readers warn that this is a contemporary romance on the darker side, but many say this is a great debut by Anders. I actually bought this when it was last on sale and was thrilled to see it out in the wild at my local independent bookstore. If you missed out on the sale last time, you’re in luck!

The Rogue Not Taken by Sarah MacLean is $2.99 right now. This is book 1 in the Scandal & Scoundrel series, and book 2, A Scot in the Dark, comes out 30 August 2016. Elyse reviewed this book and gave it an A, saying,

Let me start by saying that The Rogue Not Taken by Sarah MacLean is my favorite book of hers to date. If you’ve read her, or know me, then you know that I just said a thing.

I mean, there is a scene in this book where the hero sensually rubs honey on the heroine’s body while she dreamily describes the bookstore she’ll own one day.

Damn.

And if you want a drink to go with your reading, I did a Covers & Cocktails post for it as well!

Tremaine’s True Love by Grace Burrowes

Tremaine’s True Love

If I had not signed up to review this book, I would never have thought about it critically (or at all). Unfortunately, I did, and there are…problems. Let’s get this straight: I love this story. Love. I just want to acknowledge that it is liable to enrage some folks, so let’s wade right into trouble. But first, so as not to have spoilers ahead of the jump, and also because I cannot refrain from referencing … Continue reading Tremaine’s True Love by Grace Burrowes

Tremaine’s True Love by Grace Burrowes

Tremaine’s True Love

When I saw Grace Burrowes’ Tremaine’s True Love on the 2016 RITA review list, I grabbed it like a can of insect repellant in high bug season in the Northeast back-country. While I love a well written historical, until this review, I had never read anything by Burrowes. However, I had accidentally purchased a couple of her books a year ago when I was getting ready to write a 2015 RITA review of one of … Continue reading Tremaine’s True Love by Grace Burrowes

Books on Sale: The Legend of Lyon Redmond by Julie Ann Long & More

RECOMMENDED: The Legend of Lyon Redmond by Julie Anne Long is $1.99 at select vendors! This is book eleven in the Pennyroyal Green series and Elyse gave it an A:

It’s fine to read The Legend of Lyon Redmond as a stand alone, but it won’t have as much impact without reading the earlier books in the series. Of course, that means I’m giving you a great excuse to buy a lot of books. For Pennyroyal fans who have been holding out for this one? You won’t be disappointed.

Books on Sale: The Beautiful Ashes by Jeaniene Frost & More

The Beautiful Ashes by Jeaniene Frost is a Kindle Daily Deal for 99c! This is the first book in her new Broken Destiny series, which is a New Adult paranormal romance/urban fantasy. Some readers mentioned having some confusion as they weren’t sure if Frost was trying to write something similar to New Adult, young adult, or a straight adult urban fantasy. However, others thought the blend of action and suspense balanced well with the romantic aspects. I’m sure some Bitchery members have read this one. What do you think?
